Lost Niagara Attraction? "Jungleland Golf"

Hey niagara!
After the community's warm response to my history posts here pertaining to Clifton Hill and the amusement industry, I thought I'd come to you all with some information I unearthed about a possible attraction lost to time. I hope now maybe your memories could again help fill some gaps in Niagara's rich amusement history.
I was digging around in the Canadian Trademark Database and found the name of the company that Bob Dunham operated the House of Frankenstein and Castle Dracula locations under. For a quick recap, there was chain of six of these attractions across North America, the first and flagship location of both the House of Frankenstein and Castle Dracula being the Niagara locations. The company he ran these under was called Waxattract, and Niagara artist Derek Costello provided the art, figures and animation for these attractions as well as much more.
In 1979, two years after the sixth and final location in the haunted house chain opened (Castle Dracula in Lake George, NY) Waxattract filed trademarks for "Jungleland Golf" and "Monsterland Golf". Both are listed as "For proposed use in Canada." Just a few months later both trademarks were abandoned. A year after that, Waxattract filed trademarks for a Jules Verne attraction with an animated dog barbershop quartet out front as well as an Arby's franchise. A few months later these trademarks were abandoned as well.
For these attractions to have had names and characters trademarked, they must have been far enough into development that art, business plans and structural drawings were likely already partially developed. That's interesting enough, but the story doesn't end there. I tried googling these attractions to find old news articles announcing upcoming attractions or building permits, but found nothing with the exception of Jungleland. In a 2002 growth plan for the City of Niagara Falls, a section discusses the construction of the parking garage for Fallsview Casino. It reads: "To accommodate parking in the event of a closure of the Allandale parking lot at the discretion of the City of Niagara Falls and/or the Jungleland parking lot." Adding fuel to the mystery, Jungleland Golf is the only of the above trademarks transferred to a new owner and renewed after being abandoned by Waxattract. Its transferred to an Herbert W. Cowan in 1980 and not inactivated until 1996.
I can't find anything on Jungleland Golf on the internet. No brochures, merchandise, postcards, photos or references outside of the 2002 growth plan. It's possible for this reason that the municipal parking lot referenced in the 2002 plan was simply the land that was proposed for Jungleland once upon the time, still being referred to as such by the city despite the attraction never being built, even under the trademark's new owner. It's also possible however that this municipal lot referenced was called such by the city because it used to be the land Jungleland sat on, and that this Herbert Cowan ran the attraction from 1980 to 1996 as the records indicate. Adding merit to the theory the attraction existed is the fact that there is a municipal lot about 100ft from the Fallsview Parking garage at the corner of Main and Fallsview. That would have been directly across the street from the Boris Karloff Wax Museum, which was in the parking lot of the Oakes Hotel.
This is significant because as I'm sure you guessed, The Boris Karloff Wax Museum was run by Bob Dunham/Waxattact. In fact, this too was recently unearthed due to a telegram auctioned off online. The telegram was sending condolences to Boris Karloff's wife after the actor's death in 1969 and was sent from Robert (Bob) Dunham of the Boris Karloff Wax Museum. Since the museum opened roughly a year before this, it seems like he owned it from the beginning, making it both Dunham's first attraction and likely Derek Costello's, pre-dating the House of Frankenstein by a year. If he owned an attraction directly across the street from the possible location of Jungleland, it makes sense he would develop more on empty land there after all the space on Clifton Hill was used up.
After heavy digging, I found 2 aerial shots of that area from the early 90s. What's now the municipal lot indeed has a tree filled area with some small structures around it. The photos are not clear at all being taking from the Skylon tower, and one was taken in the dead of winter under a good 3 feet of snow. This makes it impossible to make out any text, logos or even evidence of a mini golf, but whatever is there looks like it couldn't be much else. Does anyone remember this? It's not to be confused with Jungle Putt on Lundy's Ln. near Typhoon Lagoon, the 80s-era mini golf/arcade/Dairy Queen that was abandoned in early 2010s and eventually burnt. Jungleland would have been near the Seagram/Minolta Tower, specifically directly across from the Oakes Hotel and there between roughly 1980-1996, if it existed. Anybody remember anything?

Heading to the Niagara Falls area for Spring Break and have some questions. Thanks!

My GF and I are planning a trip to come up to Nigara Falls area at the end of March during spring break. I was on Groupon and found the Four Points by Sheraton Niagara Falls Fallsview Hotel for what I believe is a decent price (2 nights for around $170 US dollars). I have some questions that I would really appreciate if someone could answer. We are both 20 years old. Want to go to the Casino. Do not want to go on wine tours.
  1. Should I bring United States Dollars to pay for stuff or should I get it converted to C$? If i need to get it converted then where is the best place to do that at?
  2. Is there any good night clubs or areas where my GF and I could go dancing? We during Week days (Tuesday, Wednesday nights)
  3. What is this Niagara On the Lake I see people talking about here? Also are there any other places we should go explore except the actual falls themselves?
  4. What do I need to have ready with me when I cross the boarder from the US side to the Canadian side (I know my passport card but anything else). Also how long does that process usually take?
  5. Are there any local mom and pop restaurants or stores that are a must go to if visiting the area?
  6. I was reading a post about how some places will charge you a random tax that just gets pocketed by the owner of the business how do I know when to avoid this tax or not?
  7. We are pretty hardcore Pokemon Go players. We are wondering if there were any good spots to play PoGo?
Thanks so much for any responses to any of these questions I would really appreciate it. Thanks again!

Anything new worth visiting for a tourist in the last 365 days?

I'm about to visit for my fourth December in four years and am just wondering if there's anything new to check out. We're staying for three nights (arrive next Sunday - leave next Wednesday). So far my list of places to go includes: Taps, Fallsview Casino, Niagara on the Lake, Paris Crepe (or whatever it's called), The Syndicate, Grand Central (to watch NFL games Sunday), and Hooters (why break tradition). I'm open to any and all suggestions.

Ready For The Fall- Part 4: Gambling Night

[storymode]
Matt spent the night wandering the streets, looking for some reason he was in Niagara Falls. If she sent me here, it must be for a reason, right? he thought to himself. He felt an air of dread, as if something was trailing him.
A rustle. He whipped his head around. It was a squirrel. His instincts were taking over. Back when he lived on the streets, they were all he had. All that kept him safe. Instinctively, he touched his side. He traced his hands up his left side, and then his right. The scars were reminders that he wasn't the top of the food chain. He had to be smart.
He decided to duck into an alley and climbed a fire escape. He reached a building that overlooked the main casino area. He held his hands out and summoned binoculars. He was getting better at summoning some of these small objects. He held the binoculars up to his eyes and scanned.
Bingo. He saw something he instantly recognized. A group of empousai. Through the Mist it was hard to see if that's what they really were, but he could definitely make out their mismatched legs. He watched them enter the Fallsview Casino, and nodded, letting his binoculars vanish.
If anyone would know where the witches were, it would be these empousai. They were too involved to not know. He descended back to the street, and walked to the Fallsview. He used the Mist to give his old clothes the illusion that they were a fancy tuxedo.
He opened the casino doors, and a bouncer stopped him. Matt pulled out a card, and used the Mist to make it look like he had a driver's license showing his age was 21. "No more trouble, right?" Matt asked the bouncer, walking in.
He kept his senses alert, scanning for the empousai. Then he saw them. They sat around a poker table, playing among themselves, men fawning over them. "Another drink, princess?" one man asked. The empousa waved him off and the man shuffled away quickly. Then her eyes rested on Matt. Matt glared at her, but a smile just crept across her face.
"Alright, boys. Go back to your wives," said the head empousa, waving the rest of them off. "Look who came to see us, girls! The doomed seed of Magic!"
Matt maintained a calm composure. He kept himself on alert, and sat down at the poker table. "I know who holds your leash," he speaks coldly, his voice like a knife. It cuts a chord. The head empousa, for a moment, is surprised. Then she begins to laugh.
"Of course you do. She is the reason you have powers, after all. Your mother," she says, a sly smile forming.
Matt shakes his head once, before looking back at her. "Enough your bullshit. I know who you're working for, who's been sending you monsters after me. And I'm going to kill them." he says, his voice growing cold once again. He couldn't afford to be weak right now.
"Of course you do. But have you considered why they want you? The sister witches want your blood? It's all for your mother. She's the reason you're on this quest, the reason why you spent your life on the street." Matt eyes must have widened at the fact that she knew his history, because she snickered. "Have you ever wondered what your life would have been like had she not have been your mother? You could have had friends, a true life."
Matt ignored that thought. He never knew his mother, but always pictured her watching over him. Sending him his visions of the future when he needed them. His visions. His first power. "Center Island. The place I had my first vision. That's where they are." he said it with such confidence, he knew it had to be true.
These witches wanted him for his blood, the blood of Hecate. Why, he had no idea. But it had to do with his magic. He didn't know why, but he knew that if they were after his magic, they would go to the place that he got his first taste of magic. Maybe his power of prophecy was helping him with his conclusions, maybe it was his mother. But he knew it was true. He saw it on the empousa's face.
"Perfect. Thank you for the chat" Matt said, the slightest hints of a sly smile on his face.
She manages to speak as the others stay quiet "You're a dead man, you know? They'll kill you."
"Then I'll take them down with me. I don't intend to let them use me for whatever purposes," he said, staring her right in the eyes. "They want me for a sacrifice. For what exactly? Power? Visions of the future?"
The empousa whispered "Our mistress. Your mother."
Mother. She was involved somehow. Matt stored that information for later. Monsters had a tendency to do bad things in the name of the gods.
"Well, if you'd excuse me" he says, bending down for a moment, and discretely slipping Antonia's knife from the sheath on his ankle, into his sleeve. He gets up, and starts to walk, before turning around again. "I almost forgot!" he says, walking over to stand behind two empousai, the other three watching him. "I don't want them to know I'm coming," he says, a sly smirk spreading across his face, as he slips the knife out, and quickly slicing through the two monsters in front of him. Quickly, he jumped across the table, plunging his blade into another, and throwing a fireball at the fourth. Matt watched the dust settle, as the head empousa stares at him, seething in anger.
"Perhaps I should bring you to the witches myself," she snarls, before hurling herself at Matt.
If this was going to be a fight, he needed to get mortals out of the way. He ran, bursting through the door of the casino and into the street. As he ran, the roar of the falls got closer and closer. He kept running, and planning to make his stand in front of the falls.
It didn't work out that way. He ended up getting lost, running through a tour group. He made his way to the falls, but he lost track of the empousa.
He sheathed Antonia's dagger again, and he drew his sword. He had to be ready. Before he could swing, the empousa snarled, lunging at him. He would have fallen into the water if he hadn't grabbed the ledge. He hung there, a fire lit inside of him. He going to tear her apart.
"So close. But yet so far. I'll let you fall, and I'll pick your mangled body from the bottom of the lake. I'm sure there will be enough blood in you to be used. Perhaps, I'll even get rewarded with a fraction of your power!" she shrieks with glee.
A fraction of my power? Matt thinks. He'd kill her, and then worry about it.
Now or never he tells himself. He uses his upper body strength and propels himself up. Not enough to save himself, but enough to grab her and take her with him.
He grabs her neck with his hands, and gravity pulled them both down towards the bottom of the falls.
