How AEW can still have the Casino Battle Royal at Double or Nothing.

So first of all I gotta make it clear that having a battle royal in these times is not a wise move to make, but if done smartly it can still happen , so here's my idea:
Just like last year have 20 guys divided into suits of five
Start the match with 5 guys in the ring and only bring in the next suit when only 2 guys are left in the ring, keep on doing this until all 4 suits have entered.
The Joker can only come when only 4 guys are left in the ring,
I think this may work, and if I'm aew I'll put the stipulation that the winner will receive a shot at the world championship at a future episode of dynamite. I mean this can lead to someone like Havoc or Trent getting a push.....

A match type I would like to see AEW use.

I would like to see AEW use the Aztec Warfare match concept that was used in Lucha Underground. The Aztec Warfare was like a 20-man Royal Rumble match but eliminations only counted as pinfalls or submissions. It was also no disqualification and, if I'm correct, eliminations could occur outside the ring as well as inside the ring. I enjoyed this match the few times Lucha Underground used it and I think it could work for AEW. Maybe it could be used for one or two Dynamites a year or on a PPV to determine a number one contender to a championship or even for a vacated championship, if the situation ever arises.
AEW have tried to implement royal rumble/gauntlet style matches in the past but I'm not really big fans of those. The 21-person casino battle royals are alright. I don't think the casino ladder match from Double or Nothing 2020 was great. It was obvious that the match wasn't going to end until all seven participants were in the match. I would have preferred a seven man ladder match. I think an Aztec Warfare match, under a different name of course, would work better than the casino battle royal and casino ladder match.
I probably think this at this moment because the Royal Rumble PPV is this Sunday but I do think the Aztec Warfare match concept could work in AEW. What do you think? Would it work?

Anniversary Show - Reviving AEW Women’s Division and Championship

AEW’s Women‘s Division finds itself in a really weird place right now. For the past year and a half or so it’s felt like an afterthought and sorely lacking any attention at all. Now AEW have set up a huge USA vs. Japan 16-women tournament thats got a lot of hype to it, but Shida has been featured on TV barely at all since Double or Nothing still. The talent has improved a lot and they got a great core now with some very good homegrown stars like Nyla Rose, Anna Jay, Abadon, Britt Baker, Leyla Hirsch, Tay Conti etc. So my mission is to take this potential and fully capitalise on it. First we start in present day, and as part of the prompt all disappointing events up until now stay the same. With all that out of the way, here is how I would try and revive the AEW Women’s Championship and Division.
AEW Women’s Eliminator:
Nyla Rose vs. Abadon (February 10th, Dynamite)
Veda Scott makes her return to commentary to team with Excalibur and Tony Schiavone for our women’s eliminator matches tonight, beginning with The Native Beast, Nyla Rose, taking on...as described by Veda, “what do you even call that...” Abadon comes out and haunts Vickie Guerrero but Nyla shows no fear. They both rush each other and it’s a brawl to begin. They soon spill outside where Rose tries to take the monster down using the guardrails, before Vickie exposes the turnbuckle and she slams Abadon into those. She goes for a finisher to end it early, but Abadon counters and the fight is back on. Abadon comes back with a Low Dropkick and Enziguri before clotheslining Nyla out. She throws her into the guardrails this time before setting Rose up on the apron, hanging over the ropes. She dives with a Leg Drop but Nyla moves and she lands flat on the mat. Nyla then hits a Guillotine Knee Drop but only gets a two count. She goes for an Avalanche Powerbomb to end it, but Abadon counters into a Super Rana and lifts both legs of Nyla up to pin her down, 1...2....3. Afterwards Nyla pushes Vickie off when she goes to speak with her.
Abadon defeats Nyla Rose (12:11)
Thunder Rosa vs. Britt Baker (February 10th, Dynamite)
A rematch between these two women here as we unfinished business solved. The match starts with a Big Boot from behind by Baker and from there it’s off to the races. Reba gets a cheap shot from outside after Britt Irish whips Rosa and she keeps going. A roll up is kicked out of but she then flattens Rosa once more. Britt takes it outside where she goes to introduce Rosa to the ring post, but Rosa counters and knocks Britt in instead. She now comes back and uses Reba as a weapon, ducking another shot from her so she hits Britt. Rosa takes a dive to the outside into both men and the fight continues. Britt comes back with some shots to the midsection before taking it outside again, hitting a Snap Suplex onto the floor. That is kicked out of as Rosa flips Britt two birds and throws her around. Baker connects an elbow shot to avoid another flying attack, and goes for a Superplex, but Rosa turns it into an Avalanche Fire Thunder Driver to win and advance. Afterwards she raises her hand and wipes her busted lip, looking deep into the hard cam as Baker is down and out.
Thunder Rosa defeats Britt Baker (10:59)
We see the first segment of Hikaru Shida on this episode, a four part series leading up to Revolution. She is in Japan currently so they are filmed from the Ice Ribbon Dojo. This particular one begins with Shida walking around watching the girls train, and coaching as she looks on. She says in English “they are talented. They will become superstar.” We then move over to a tatami (traditional Japanese room, small with wooden walls, a paper sliding door, no windows etc.) There she sits down and is interviewed about her career with the assist of subtitles. She speaks of her training and relates to the girls she just saw there. She explains how much Ice Ribbon means to her and she’s excited to see their representation in the tournament. It closes with her about her finals days in Japan. She starts to talk about AEW, but it fades out and ends with a “To be continued...”
Leyla Hirsch vs. Riho (February 17th, Dynamite)
Riho returns to AEW for the first time in nearly a full year and is excited to be back in action, but she’s got some steep competition in her corner. Legit Leyla Hirsch walks out ready to kick some ass and take names, throwing the towel on her shoulders into the crowd as she walks and laughing at Riho. “She’s like the size of Leyla’s leg.” Veda says. Tony jumps to Riho’s defence we’ve seen her topple bigger and badder in AEW before, but we’ll have to wait and see. Leyla starts off dominant as she keeps Riho down with her submissions and MMA holds. Riho on occasions looks to mount a comeback but she keeps being knocked back down. Despite this, she keeps getting back up. Out of nowhere she gets a roll up on Leyla to stun her, before a Dropkick knocks her outside. She then does a Flying Crossbody to the floor! The fight is on. Riho uses high speed to fight against the power of Leyla. Hirsch goes for a dangerous Lariat but Riho ducks and hits a Headscissors into an O’Connor Roll to pin and win.
Riho defeats Leyla Hirsch (12:45)
After the match, Tony Schiavone tries to grab an interview with Riho about her win and how it feels to be back. She goes to speak, WHEN SHE’S ATTACKED BY TWO WOMEN! Leyla Hirsch walks up and puts both arms over their shoulders, as commentary reveal it to be Killer Kelly and Lindsay Snow! Excalibur says these two women took part in the Bloodsport Women’s Tournament with Leyla Hirsch months ago, and now they’re here in AEW! Leyla hugs them both Andrew all stand over Riho and walk off.
We then see the next part of Hikaru Shida’s video series. This time begins with her training with some wrestlers, and giving feedback before we go back to the tatami. She says she thinks the girls can be big once more, and name drops a few in particular that she sees as the best. She’s then asked if they could ever expand out of Japan like herself. Shida then leads this off into saying it’s not an easy thing to do. The girls can do it but she did it herself and it’s tough. She then talks about moving to America about a year and a half ago and how she’s felt, how she’s adapted, and what AEW means to her. She details how much it means to her to be here in America and holding the most important title in the world to her. She set out to break boundaries and prove she is the best to the American audience, and she did, having held the title for 9 months. She’s now observing who’s going to stop her, but despite the immense talent - nobody is like her.
Anna Jay vs. Tay Conti (February 17th, Dynamite)
Two best friends clash, with Tay Conti and Anna Jay taking part to face in the next round. Tay offers a handshake but Anna looks away to ignore it. This leaves a bad taste in Tay’s mouth but she pushes on. They lock up and it’s intense, until Tay gains the upper hand. She uses her Judo background to dominate until she tries a Tayogoshi. Anna gets out and gets the cut off. She wrestles with a lot of aggression to the point commentary question that these two women are partners. Anna shows no mercy against Tay with some brutal offence. Conti eventually comes back and applies some vicious submission holds. Tay comes back with a Jumping Knee before a Bicycle Kick off the apron. Anna then hits her with a slam onto the apron and keeps the aggression going. In the climax of the match we saw Tay grab hold of Anna by the wrist and cling on, as they fall forward in exhaustion and rest over each other’s shoulders. Tay wraps an arm around and they hug, until Anna hugs back as she slowly lifts Tay up. They stare into each other’s eyes, continuing to breath heavy, ONLY FOR CONTI TO HIT A BRAZILIAN KICK!! PINS AND WINS!!
Tay Conti defeats Anna Jay (10:47)
Yuka Sakazaki vs. Mei Suruga (February 15th, Super 16)
Exclusively on AEW’s YouTube channel, “The Super 16” is presented live from the Ice Ribbon Dojo. Yuka Sakazaki is someone that AEW fans are familiar with from her various matches on PPV and Dynamite. Since her last AEW appearance she has added more muscle, she's expanded her moveset, and she lost TJPW's top title. Mei Suruga meanwhile is one the smallest and least experienced wrestler in the tournament, being one of Emi Sakura’s many students. She managed to get a clean one on one victory over Hikaru Shida right before Shida left Japan. She's a 21 year old prodigy who's status reaches beyond her experience level. She has Riho’s style mixed with Emi’s influence, for a brief summary. This is a high speed match up, a common style in Joshi, as the two women fly around each other with high risk offence. Yuka does a Springboard to the outside, over the guardrail to take Mei out for a good bit. She mounts a comeback and goes for a finisher to end it, but The Magical Girl reverses and pins to advance forward.
Yuka Sakazaki defeats Mei Suruga (08:46)
VENY vs. Emi Sakura (February 15th, Super 16)
VENY is someone some of you might know as Asuka. No not that Asuka, back in Japan WWE Asuka was known as Kana and the woman now called VENY is now known as Asuka. VENY is a favourite of mine. She can do damn near anything in the ring, she's extremely charismatic, and is in her prime as one of the top indie wrestlers in Japan."Veny" was supposed to debut in America during Wrestlemania weekend 2020, but the pandemic put a stop to that. This tournament is going to be her introduction to western fans. Meanwhile Emi Sakura is someone AEW fans probably know after her match with Riho at Full Gear. Since her last AEW appearance, she's been surviving the pandemic in her own little corner of the wrestling world by regularly producing Youtube wrestling shows(ChocoPro). In recent months, she's been slimming down to more of her natural weight which helps her with speed and her noted back problems. She’s now faster and better than when AEW fans last saw her. This is a technical match up with the two women indulging a game of wits, trading submissions and holds. She goes to use her new found quickness but VENY matches ever at that and puts her down to advance forward.
VENY defeats Emi Sakura (14:32)
Maki Itoh vs. Ryo Mizunami (February 15th, Super 16)
Maki Itoh is one of my favourite wrestlers right now and that’s not a joke. She’s the most popular wrestler in the field and someone that Joshi fans have been waiting to see crossover to the west more often for the last couple of years. She's insanely charismatic. She's a limited athlete, but she's an excellent storyteller and shines in singles matches. She’s only worked Mania weekend in the States so far but we’re hoping to see that change. Mizunami then has worked AEW before, but that was such a long time ago that AEW fans have probably forgotten her. She's a veteran with an extremely high level of charisma and she will chop the soul out of you. Primarily a brawler, but also has that charisma to work this kind of match. This is set to be our character matchup as Maki and Ryo square up, with Itoh crediting herself as “I AM DEITY OF SHIT”. She credits “Cornette-san” as her biggest fan. They then go at it. Ryo dominates Itoh until the comeback, when she catches Mizunami out of nowhere with a Flying Hurricanerana to win.
Maki Itoh defeats Ryo Mizunami (08:41)
Aja Kong vs. Rin Kadokura (February 15th, Super 16)
Main event of the evening and it’s looking like a doozy folks. First we have Aja Kong, easily the most legendary name in the tournament. She's 34 years into her career and still going. While we aren’t expecting to see the Kong that was battling Bull Nakano in the 90s, she is still a very smart veteran and she is still willing to taking some crazy bumps in the right occasion. She’s wrestled in both WWF (Survivor Series 1995) and AEW (Double or Nothing 2019) so she’s no stranger to the big stage. Rin meanwhile is most comparable to Shibata. She doesn't have a huge western fanbase, and she's not a big personality, but she's the Joshi version of "a wrestler's wrestler" and is capable of having the best match of the tournament. She comes Marvelous who are basically the Ring of Honor of Joshi. They are more physical and technically sound than TJPW or Ice Ribbon. Rin and Aja have a stiff and brutal matchup with terrifying strikes from the two women. Aja keeps kicking out of what’s thrown at her, not allowing to go down to a younger girl. Aja misses a Senton off the apron and hits the floor which allows Kadokura to win. Afterwards they hug as we fade to black.
Rin Kadokura defeats Aja Kong (15:22)
Quarter-Finals:
Riho vs. Tay Conti (February 24th, Dynamite)
Into the quarter finals we go as Revolution is fast approaching, and kicking it off is these two women. Both are top babyfaces, with Conti having just come out of her emotional war with Anna Jay and Riho suffering at the hands of Leyla Hirsch’s squad. They shake hands to begin and we’re set. Tay has expressed interest in wrestling in Japan before, so this is her forte into the Joshi world. Once everything’s back to normal I’d really like to see her hold the SWA World Championship in Stardom, and potentially face Riho again for it. Riho uses her speed to take Tay down, at one point dropkicking her off the apron and she falls into the guardrail, where Anna Jay sits. Anna looks at her coldly as Tay gets back up, ONLY TO BE HIT BY A BACKSTABBER BY RIHO! SHE COVERS AND WINS!! Riho advances forward to the semi-finals, while Conti stares back, equally as cold, at Anna Jay.
Riho defeats Tay Conti (07:01)
We see the third segment of Hikaru Shida in her tatami speaking of her story. She goes into detail about Corona hitting and being stuck in America, and how she felt about that. She says all that mattered then was the AEW Women’s World Championship. So much stuff was happening back home in Japan in the Joshi world (death of Hana Kimura), and she needed to topple The Beast, Nyla Rose. She describes the match, says it’s the most physical she’s ever been in, describing each painful bump and how after every move she was more worn down. But she refused to lose, and came out on top. Since then she’s carried this belt, and hadn’t dropped it. Despite the level of talent in the Super 16, no one has the talent to defeat her.
Abadon vs. Thunder Rosa (February 24th, Dynamite)
Last quarter final now, with the winner going on to face Riho in the semi’s. Thunder Rosa - having defeated Britt Baker, and Abadon - having defeated Nyla Rose. Abadon screams at Rosa to begin but she’s unphased, shouting back and the two meet forehead to forehead. They then start trading shots as the match begins. It spills outside where they continue to brawl messily. Abadon hits a Bloodline onto the floor followed by some biting. She goes for a Twist of Hate on the apron, but Rosa counters into a Cutter! They both sell before going back inside. Abadon runs for a Spear but when it’s leapfrogged, she hits a Headbutt and then runs the ropes again. She connects the Spead this time and covers, but it’s kicked out of. They go back outside where they fight up the ramp. Rosa dives with a Double Foot Stomp before they head up to the announce table. They fight there, and Rosa hits an Inverted DDT on it. Abadon rolls into the announcers chairs and lays there. Once back in, Rosa goes for a Snake Sleeper, but Abadon kicks her leg back and fights back. She throws Rosa into the ring post to bust her open. She calls for a Gravedigger, BUT ITS REVERSED INTO A FIRE THUNDER DRIVER!! ROSA PINS AND GOES TO SEMIS!!
Thunder Rosa defeats Abadon (16:11)
Maki Itoh vs. VENY (February 22nd, Super 16)
Heading into the Japan half of the quarter finals, we travel across the Pacific to the Ice Ribbon dojo once more. Itoh talks shit before the bell as VENY stands stone faced wondering what’s she did in a past life to be in the opposite corner of this. She goes to speak about Cornette-san once more but VENY cuts her off and the match has begun. She dominates the early stages until Maki out of nowhere counters a Suplex into a Falling DDT. She hits a Dropkick off the apron and VENY eats shit. Maki applies a Boston Crab, but VENY gets the ropes and flips Itoh out. She big boots her and is back on the offence. They take it to the apron where Itoh goes to pick VENY up, but VENY knocks her down and they roll back inside. Maki goes for a Ito Special but it’s reversed, and VENY goes for a Powerbomb. Itoh reverses that into a Itoh Royale, which is kicked out and they double down with stereo dropkicks. Maki climbs the top ropes for a Diving Headbutt, but VENY quickly runs up and hits a Superplex. She pins and wins to advance forward into the semis.
VENY defeats Maki Itoh (09:18)
Rin Kadokura vs. Yuka Sakazaki (February 22nd, Super 16)
Yuka runs around Rin to begin with, using her quickness to avoid being caught by any strikes or holds. This proves unsuccessful as after running the ropes for a Flying Shoulder Tackle, she’s hit with a stiff elbow in midair to knock Yuka down. This is the cut off as she dominates from this point forward. Rin goes for a Meteora from the middle ropes, BUT YUKA HITS A FRONT DROPKICK OUT OF MIDAIR!! She scales the top ropes and FLIES WITH A CROSSBODY!! KICK OUT! Yuka continues to run circles before taking Rin to the apron. She then jumps from inside, over the ropes, WITH A HURRICANERANA TO THE FLOOR!! The Magical Girl is back in action as she hits a Baseball Slide Dropkick into the railings. She rolls out to grab Kadokura but Rin throws her into the guardrails instead. She takes control back and does a Lala Histro Cradle into a Cross Armbreaker but Yuka gets a foot on the ropes. She manages to rally up for a huge flurry of offence to take Rin down and cover after a Magical Girl Splash, 1.......2......3! She’s going to the semi-finals where she will face VENY.
Yuka Sakazaki defeats Rin Kadokura (11:45)
We get a live performance from the Itoh Respect Army - Maki Itoh and Mizuki perform live in living colour a rock idol anthem. This gives Yuka a rest before the main event of the evening, the Semi-Finals match between Yuka Sakazaki and VENY. Itoh and Mizuki hype everyone up with the performance ahead of the big match, before the music stops and they leave. That’s when VENY walks out.
Semi-Finals:
VENY vs. Yuka Sakazaki (February 22nd, Super 16)
She walks down menacingly with pure seriousness on her face. There is no fucking around here. She’s winning this tournament. Yuka meanwhile is as happy as can be. Yuka high fives everyone and jumps down in joy. They shake hands, but immediately after the bell rings VENY immediately kicks Yuka down and dominates. Yuka is tired while VENY is relatively fresh having only wrestled the opener. She dominates until it heads to the outside. She goes to slam Yuka into the railings, but Sakazaki reverses and dumps her over. She then hits a Springboard Flying Seated Senton, over the railings, into VENY. She mounts her comeback and hits for the Magical Girl Splash, BUT ITS KICKED OUT OF! Yuka starts having to match VENY’s strikes, as once VENY starts laying them in, Yuka becomes impervious to pain and fights back with her own. It turns into a slugfest here, but after a Diving Double Foot Stomp from Yuka only gets two she’s out of options. VENY capitalises here and looks to finish with a Powerbomb, BUT ITS TURNED INTO A FRANKENSTEINER! MAGICAL GIRL SPLASH! YUKA IS GOING TO THE FINALS!!
Yuka Sakazaki defeats VENY (19:21)
On March 3rd, Dynamite, we see the final of Hikaru’s segment, starting with her rolling a suitcase while wearing a mask as she walks to her plane back to America. We go back to the tatami where she’s asked about Revolution, and what she thinks of Yuka Sakazaki. She speaks on her before being asked about Riho and Thunder Rosa. She speaks about Rosa and their feud, saying she’s beaten her before though at last years All Out. The interviewer asks about the All Out the year before that. Who did she face then. Did she win? Shida seems insulted by that but keeps going, saying Riho got the better of her. But while she’s spent the past year back home, she made a new home - AEW. And she is now the queen of that home, and no amount of Riho will stop.
Riho vs. Thunder Rosa (March 3rd, Dynamite)
We’ve reached our American semi-finals, and 5 days after Yuka Sakazaki’s defeat of VENY - Riho and Thuhder Rosa are set to main event Dynamite. On Saturday Night then, the day before Revolution, we will see the Super 16 Finals streamed on YouTube between Yuka Sakazaki and the winner of this match, with the winner going on to face Hikaru Shida at Revolution. The match starts physical and doesn’t slow down. They go to the mat straight away and trade submission attempts. Rosa then dominates until Riho counters out of a corner charge with a roll up only to get two. Rosa punishes Riho using the ring post. Riho fights back though as she flies off the apron and uses speed to keep Rosa down. She goes for a springboard but is caught midair. Rosa then starts to kick the shit out of Riho, striking her repeatedly. It spills to the floor where Riho mounts a comeback, utilising the ring post to her own advantage this time. With Rosa tied up in the post, Riho runs off the apron with a Double Foot Stomp to the back. It goes into back and forth inside the ring, before Riho flies out once more. Rosa is up first and sets up a table, before they go back inside. Commentary note the No DQ on the outside rule. RIHO HITS A DOUBLE FOOT STOMP TO ROSA OFF THE APRON THROUGH THE TABLE!! They’re both out now, but while down, OUT COMES BRITT BAKER!! SHE HITS ROSA WITH A CHAIR! Riho doesn’t notice as she takes her back inside and covers to win! Britt walks off with a smile on her face, and waves at a fuming Rosa.
Riho defeats Thunder Rosa (23:41)
Finals:
Riho vs. Yuka Sakazaki (March 6th, Super 16)
The Magical Girl comes down happy as ever, high fiving and hugging fans and running circles around the ring in ecstasy. Riho then comes out in her signature dress and also with an umbrella with the Imperial Japanese Flag designed on it. Both women offer their hands to each other, and both embrace before locking up. A collar and elbow is engaged and maintained, Yuka breaks the chains by connecting a Dropkick, followed by another Basement Dropkick! Riho ducks a Lariat attempt and runs the ropes, performing a dizzying array of spins before landing the Tornado DDT! 1.....2....Yuka kicks out! Yuka runs the ropes and hits a Seated Senton in the centre of the ring. She goes for a cover but Riho kicks out. Riho takes Yuka down with a Half Crab. Yuka winces in pain and cries in agony but throws Riho off her leg. Yuka then hits a Slingblade and rolls to the outside.
Riho connects a Baseball Slide Dropkick through the both ropes, before lifting Yuka up and hitting an incredible Deadlift Suplex into the middle of the ring. Excalibur makes note of Riho being 98 lbs so that feat of strength is truly incredible. Yuka connects an Enziguri and begins a Three Amigos. Riho flips out of the last one and hits a Roundhouse Kick followed by Double Foot Stomp! She covers, 1.......2....Kick Out! Riho seems annoyed at this and takes Yuka to the corner. They trade elbows for a bit before Yuka swaps them around and hits a Roundhouse Kick! She then takes Riho to the top turnbuckle. Yuka attempts to hit a Avalanche Butterfly Suplex, but Riho doesn’t move. Riho shoves Yuka onto the apron and Yuka grabs her back in pain. Riho then hits a Diving Double Foot Stomp onto the apron! That receives a holy shit chant as Riho throws her back into the ring and goes to cover.
Yuka rolls into a Fujiwara Armbar! She channels her inner Zack Sabre Jr. and begins to stomp on Riho’s head as she has the submission locked in. Riho rolls forward into a School Boy but Yuka kicks out. Yuka rolls back but is met by a Basement Dropkick! Riho then hits a Northern Lights Suplex! She goes to cover but Yuka rolls out. Yuka whips Riho to the apron. She hits a Dragon Screw on the ropes and connects a Baseball Slide Dropkick! Yuka goes for a Half and Half Suplex on the apron, but Riho gets out and hits a Belly to Back Suplex! Right on the hardest part of the ring as Yuka sells the pain. Riho rolls back into the ring, but is met by a Springboard Front Missile Dropkick by Yuka! Yuka then heads to the top ropes and does a magical pose, Diving Double Foot Stomp! 1........2.....KICK OUT!!! Yuka is now desperate and decides, “fuck it”, and begins a frenzy of attacks.
Any and everything used. Yuka hits a Running Meteora! She goes for another but Riho catches with an Enziguri and then hits a Running Double Foot Stomp! She picks Yuka up and hits a German Suplex but Yuka lands on her feet; Half and Half Suplex! Yuka hits a Slingblade and begins a series of Daniel Bryan like Roundhouses, with a few yes chants thrown in from the audience. She keeps going until Riho ducks one and hits a Bicycle Knee! Yuka responds with a Bicycle Kick! Riho hits an Impaler DDT!!! She gets the crowd going and goes for an Exploder Suplex, but Yuka counters into a Backbody Drop! Yuka then hits the Exploder Suplex followed by a Pendelum Kick! She takes Riho to the top ropes and goes for an Avalanche Butterfly Suplex! RIHO COUNTERS MIDAIR IN A ROLL UP!! 1......2.....3!!!! Riho is going to face Hikaru Shida tomorrow night for the AEW Women’s World Championship!
Riho defeats Yuka Sakazaki (10:17)
AEW Revolution 2021:
Anna Jay vs. Britt Baker vs. Tay Conti vs. Thunder Rosa - Four-way Match
AEW’s Women’s International Eliminator Tournament has come and gone, and with it many women have some grudges held. Thunder Rosa was cost the semi-finals with Riho after Britt Baker interference. This is of course, due to Rosa beating Britt in the First Round. Also, Anna Jay and Tay Conti faced in the First Round where Conti was successful. That drove a wedge between them as we’ve seen. There is enough tension where we need a resolution, and so they’re all put into a match together - whoever is the best comes out on top. The Four-way is made for Revolution, with the winner set to be Shida or Riho’s next challenger in the coming weeks. However before the match, we see Brandi Rhodes come out for the first time in 2 months. She has a mic in hand and says that two years ago there was a similar multi-women match set. That was the during the genesis of AEW. A three-way became a four-way. Now we know how talented of a roster the AEW Women’s Division is, but what if it could be blustered?
Well she’s got the perfect solution to that. How could she make this match even more stacked however? Easy answer, add another women. But not just any women...a Virtuosa. So with a little helping hand, she’s secured someone to really put up a fight. Outcomes Deonna Purazzo. The current Knockouts Champion makes her way out and joins the fray. The crowd applaud loudly at the surprise arrival, as this match is now made a Five-way. Immediately the beefing girls go for each other, Britt and Rosa and Tay and Anna. Deonna meanwhile just picks people off, playing it smart and looking for the win. She’s not fuelled by animosity like the rest, she is just being intelligent. We see the rest of the women all take themselves out to the point Britt turns around into a Jumping DDT and Fujiwara Armbar. She taps out and Purazzo wins the match. She takes the mic afterwards and hoists her Knockouts Championship high. “Who’s ready for a Battle of the Belts?” she says before leaving.
Deonna Purazzo defeats Anna Jay, Britt Baker, Tay Conti and Thunder Rosa (11:17)
Hikaru Shida (c) vs. Riho - AEW Women’s World Championship
We’ve seen the whole tournament so far and the mini-doc of Hikaru Shida. It’s the first majorly built AEW Women’s Championship PPV match...ever, so it’s got some expectations on its shoulders. Shida walks out wearing her attire from the AEW video game trailer, pointed out by Excalibur. Riho is just coming off a match from last night while Shida hasn’t wrestled in nearly a month, so she is fully in control early on. She busts out some early signature moves so the audience get a groove of her once more since it’s been a minute. They go outside where Riho starts to come back and from there it’s back and forth. They recreate the finishing sequence that won it for Riho last time, ending with Riho getting a roll up originally, but this time Shida kicks out! They then keep going as Riho kicks out of a few more moves by Hikaru. Riho goes for a Diving Double Foot Stomp, but she’s hit midair and then by a Tamashii no Three Count! KICK OUT!! They keep fighting as Riho once more tries for the finishing sequence that won it for her last time, but this time it ends when Shida lifts her into a Falcon Arrow! 1..............2..............3!! She wins and retains!
Hikaru Shida defeats Riho (14:56)
We now head into the build for Double or Nothing. However we aren’t all building towards that. See, it’s announced at Revolution a supercard of supercards is set for April 4th. The “Bloodshed Supercard” is coming up, pitting stars from AEW, NJPW, NWA and Impact against one another. The big match advertised is a Lethal Lockdown Match: pitting Kenny Omega, The Good Brothers and Kenta against Jon Moxley and Death Triangle. But also set for the show, we’ll get into detail here. Deonna Purazzo is now the #1 Contender to the AEW Women’s World Championship, and an appearance by her is advertised for the Dynamite after Revolution. She shows up and cuts a typical promo of hers on Hikaru, claiming herself the one true Virtuosa and hyping her credentials. These outmatch everything Shida has ever done, and when they face, she’ll truly outmatch her for all to see.
The match is dubbed “Battle of the Belts” after AEW trademarked that. Knockouts Champion vs. AEW Women’s World Champion. Next week Shida goes to speak, but she’s cut off by Deonna. Purazzo attacks her and beats down the rival champion. She tells Shida she should of stayed in Japan, because now she’s crossed the Pacific she’s in HER country. The Virtuosa runs the place here, and she is going to cement herself as the best champion in the entire country - nay, the world. Later in the night when asked about how she felt of the attack, Hikaru says “Next Tuesday. Impact Wrestling. Watch me.” before leaving. Then, on Impact, we see Hikaru come out after a Ten-person Knockouts Tag Team Match. She looks around with her title, and walks over to the captain of the winning team, Kiera Hogan. She shakes her hand and points back and forth between the two. Kiera vs. Shida is sanctioned for next week on Impact.
They face, but due to Hikaru now being in Deonna’s house, she makes her presence known with an attack. Part of rebuilding the Women’s division is other feuds need to exist in it, so let’s touch on those. Firstly, Leyla Hirsch and her new stable, dubbing themselves “Bloodsport” have made an enemy out of Riho. The two face with the stipulation that the winner will face Serena Deeb for the NWA Women’s Championship. Hirsch wins after making Riho tap. Then in her match with Deeb, a returning Allysin Kay comes out and interferes. Deeb rolls up with her distraction. Leyla doesn’t attack Kay however. After all, she was the fourth women in that Bloodsport tournament along with Hirsch, Kelly and Snow. They offer her a spot but Allysin declines and says she just wants that NWA Women’s Championship back. A Three-way then is made, which ends with Kay pinning Deeb. She gets her title back, and afterwards, offers an embrace to Hirsch. Snow and Kelly get her to accept.
Bloodsport pose together with Allysin Kay now in their rankings, but tension between her and Hirsch is clear after Kay just took the title she’s been craving for weeks. However, they’re now a unit. Also, Anna Jay and Tay Conti. Anna takes a leadership role in The Dark Order as her and Conti slowly start patching things up. They both agree they got lost in the tournament and were drunk off the thought of glory. They hug it out and walk out together. Then, Thunder Rosa and Britt Baker. The first thing we see on Dynamite after Revolution is Thunder Rosa brutalising Britt Baker. She destroys her. She kayfabe reinjures her and puts her back on crutches. Britt doesn’t wrestle after this but has a vendetta against Rosa, and Rosa is likewise. The women all have feuds, with only one revolving around the title, and they actually get TV time on Dynamite. It’s basically just what AEW do with the guys, but the gender is changed. That’s literally how you do women’s wrestling.
Bloodshed Supercard:
Deonna Purrazzo vs. Hikaru Shida - Battle of the Belts
The singles match main event of the show, it’s the heavily anticipated “Battle of the Belts.” Shida is out first, wearing a kimono and carrying her own umbrella to the ring. She twirls it around at the hard camera in a optical illusion before walking down. Deonna is out afterwards and the Virtuosa walks with purpose, hoisting her title over Shida’s head. Hikaru hoists hers up and they meet forehead to forehead. The match the begins. Shida and Deonna trade goods and submissions on the mat before it goes outside and gets physical there. Purrazzo uses the guardrails and ring posts, before taking it to the apron. Shida hits her with a Superkick and runs the ropes inside the ring, dropkicking Purrazzo into part of the set. Once back up they have some stiff back and forth with a lot of shots and strikes to knock the other down. Both women keep kicking out however. We see many moments when Hikaru looks like she’s about to tap but resists and keeps fighting. They head outside once again where Deonna hits a Backbody Drop onto the floor. Once back inside, Shida hits a Falcon Arrow into a Tamashii no Three Count to win. Afterwards her and Deonna resiliently shake hands in respect.
Hikaru Shida defeats Deonna Purrazzo (25:10)
Heading out of Bloodshed Supercard, Britt Baker and Thunder Rosa are still battling it out. Britt is set to return to action on the April 14th edition of Dynamite, where she will face Rosa in a No Disqualification, No Countout Match. It’s a brutal bout with Britt showing the aggression she did in her Tooth and Nail Match on Rosa. She ends up winning after a chairshot and kendo stick assisted Lockjaw makes Rosa pass out. Meanwhile, Hikaru Shida continues her trail of dominance over the AEW Women’s division. She’s earned the respect of Deonna Purazzo’s who’s gonna back off to Impact. Shida cuts a promo in English after the match saying she wants more of the Knockouts, and they are an amazing group of girls. She once again faces Kiera Hogan, this time on Dynamite, with interference banned. They have a clean bout that ends with Shida once again winning. They shake hands afterwards. This is Hogan’s first AEW match and she makes a big splash, but comes up short.
Next in line is Nyla Rose, who is still with Vickie Guerrero but their relationship is going very sour. Nonetheless, as we approach a year after Hikaru took the belt from Nyla, they’re set to face one more - this time it’s 2 Out of 3 Falls. It’s an excellent bout that ends with Shida winning by falling onto Nyla after the two basically kill themselves. Nyla the next week cuts a promo on Shida, saying she wants one final shot, and if she loses - she will never challenge for the title while Shida is champion again. This is when Britt Baker gets involved and puts her stamp on the picture. She limps down on a crutch as that match with Rosa as temporarily hurt her again. She cuts a mini promo of her own, before blasting Nyla with the crutch. A #1 Contenders Match is set up, with the winner going on to face Hikaru at Double or Nothing.
Britt wins after a very hard fought and brutal contest. Afterwards, Tony Schiavone comes out and reads a letter from Brandi. She congratulates both women on the incredible match. She then announces Nyla as the first women to take part in the AEW Women’s Casino Ladder Match at Double or Nothing. In the final weeks before Double or Nothing, Britt cuts some very passionate promos about the struggle she’s went through to even become a wrestler, and as soon as she became the best thing in this company she was injured. But this time, nothing is going to stop her. She’s not going to be hindered by dentistry, not by trying to being a good guy, and not by injury. She will be victorious. Reba is banned from ringside, as if she gets involved Britt automatically loses. Baker is now fuelled by anger as she wants to take down the unstoppable Hikaru Shida.
Then, our other stories. Well the premier one is the aforementioned Women’s Casino Ladder Match. Once more it’s decided there’s too much beef amongst the AEW Women’s division, so Tony Khan’s solution is to throw nine of them into a ladder match, and whoever isn’t dead by the end gets an AEW Women’s Championship shot. And just like last time, there will be a mystery participant. Women gradually get announced via AEW’s Twitter, with Nyla Rose as the first on TV before they slowly start adding names to the field, like they did last year. Anna Jay and Tay Conti are announced together, Serena Deeb, Leyla Hirsch, Riho etc. Thunder Rosa and Abadon face once more after their epic match in the Super 16. Abadon hits a Spear into part of the stage which takes them both out and it goes to a double countout. Both women are then put into the match, with the ninth women remaining a mystery.
Double or Nothing 2021:
Abadon vs. Anna Jay vs. Leyla Hirsch vs. Nyla Rose vs. Riho vs. Serena Deeb vs. Tay Conti vs. Thunder Rosa vs. ??? - Women’s Casino Ladder Match
Serena Deeb and Nyla Rose start it off hot, Nyla trying to dominate but Deeb using her strength to counteract. Tay Conti comes in and her and Deeb come to a babyface arrangement to take the big women down. Thunder Rosa follows suit and starts to mix it up with everyone. Leyla Hirsch, Anna Jay, Riho and Abadon all come out and continue the fight. It’s multi-man chaos, with each women sabotaging the other from getting that poker chip. They all want the prize. Killer Kelly at one point tries to walk down and help out Hirsch, but Riho valiantly takes her on and brawls with her to the back. She then dives off the stage with a Crossbody into Lindsay Snow and Killer Kelly. Allysin Kay comes out and puts her through a part of the stage to take her out.
Riho comes back, freshly bruised by Kay, and looks to climb the ladder, but Anna Jay pushes her down. She then starts to taunt and mock the 9th and final entrant while she waits for them to appear...and it’s RETURNING KRIS STATLANDER! Statlander comes in and wrecks house; takes out all the people involved while the action continues. Abadon lets out a mighty scream as she goes to climb the ladder. Tay and Anna push her off and meet at the top. They then start throwing shots at each other. They all fall under Thunder Rosa pushes them off and climbs up, grabbing the poker chip and holding it high it in triumph. She now with a future AEW Women’s World Championship match locked in. She takes the mic and tells Hikaru “good luck - you’ll need it.” before dropping it and heading to the back.
Thunder Rosa wins the Women’s Casino Ladder Match (16:35)
Hikaru Shida (c) vs. Britt Baker - AEW Women’s World Championship
Baker comes out without Reba for the first time in a long time, pure determination on her face to succeed. Both women put their heart and soul into the match, pouring every last bit of fight they’ve got in. Britt gets a Lockjaw in near the end and refuses to let go when Shida grabs the ropes. The ref has to physically pull her off, ONLY FOR SHIDA TO HIT ONE FINAL TAMASHII NO THREE COUNT!! She pins and wins.

Rewatching the Casino battle royal from double or nothing 2019 I have to agree with Cornett that it put the fear of god in me that AEW was gunna be filled with carnies like Sunny Daze

FBE Carnage Night II: Rebooking AEW All Out 2019 - Part 3

All Out 2019: The Main Card - Part 2
Match 5: AEW Women’s Championship no. 1 Contenders Match: Hikaru Shida vs Britt Baker vs Riho vs Bea Priestley
The four women stand off in the center of the ring to start the match, with the winner set to face Mercedes Martinez on the first episode of Dynamite to determine the inaugural AEW Women’s Champion. Baker goes right after Priestley to begin the match, as the two have been feuding over the past few months, and Shida goes after Riho in the confusion. Baker and Priestley spill to the outside while Shida and Riho mix it up in the ring. Riho manages to take down Shida with a drop kick, and turn around and DIVES THROUGH THE ROPES TO TAKE OUT BAKER AND PRIESTLEY ON THE OUTSIDE. Riho throws Britt into the ring pole before going after Bea, but Priestly hits Riho back into the ring to start beating down on her. Shida rushes over and goes after Priestley, and the two lock up and go back and forth trading punches. Shida takes advantage and locks Priestley in a headlock, and Baker recovers and climbs to the top turnbuckle from outside the ring. Shida holds her up and Britt takes out Priestley with a missile drop kick.
Priestley rolls out of the ring and Shida and Baker go at it, going back and forth trading strikes. Baker takes out her knees and forces Shida down to the mat to put her in the lock jaw submission, but Riho runs over to break it up. Riho pulls Baker up, puts her in a headlock and runs up the turnbuckle to hit her with a tornado DDT. Riho climbs onto the turnbuckle and hits a moonsault on Baker and goes for the pin, but Priestley rushes in to break it up. Bea throws Riho out of the ring and covers Baker herself, but Britt kicks out. Bea starts laying in punches to Britt’s head, busting her open, until Shida runs over and takes Priestley down with a knee strike. Shida goes to work on Priestley and tries to lock her in an armbar, but Bea fights out of it. Britt gets up and tries to help Shida against Bea, but all 3 women turn around and ARE TAKEN OUT BY A CROSSBODY FROM RIHO FROM THE TOP ROPES. Riho snuck up there while no one was looking and delivered the biggest move of the match. Riho sets up Bea for a running knee and nails it on her, and goes for the cover, but Baker breaks it up. She locks in the lock jaw on Riho but Shida breaks it up before she can submit. Shida clears the ring and picks up Baker and NAILS HER WITH THE FALCON ARROW. She pins her 1-2-3!!! Hikaru Shida wins the 4-Way match and is the new no. 1 contender for the Women’s Championship.
Shida poses in the ring and celebrates her victory following the match but MERCEDES MARTINEZ RUNS IN AND ATTACKS HER FROM BEHIND. Martinez won the Casino Battle Royale in the Buy In and will face Shida on the first episode of Dynamite for the inaugural AEW Women’s Championship, but right here, she is looking to send a message to her new opponent. Martinez picks up Shida and NAILS HER WITH A FISHERMAN BUSTER and stands tall over Hikaru heading into their match on Dynamite in October.
Match 6: “The American Nightmare” Cody vs “The Chairman” Shawn Spears In what is undoubtedly the most personal of the matches on the All Out card, Cody and Shawn Spears’ tensions finally blow over as the two former friends finally meet one on one in the ring. Spears is walked down to the ring by Tully Blanchard, and out of all of his entourage, Cody picks his protege MJF to escort him to the ring.
Cody makes his entrance second and dives to the outside of the ring at Spears before the match begins. The two break out into a brawl into the crowd and Tully goes to grab Cody from behind, but MJF pulls him off and the two get into a skirmish. Cody and Shawn brawl through the crowd and work their way back into the ring. Spears gets the upper hand on Cody and screams at the referee to call for the bell so the match can finally begin. Spears throws Cody into the turnbuckle, climbs on top of him and starts nailing him with punches, but Cody snaps awake, grabs Spears by the pants and powerbombs him onto the mat. Speas climbs on top of Cody and starts unloading punches on him right in the face before putting him in a headlock. Cody fights up to his feet and hits Spears with an atomic drop before jumping on the ropes and hitting him with a cutter. Cody stays on offense and locks Spears in a figure four leg lock, trying to force him to tap out, but Shawn crawls to the ropes and gets a break.
Blanchard leaves his belt laying on the apron and jumps onto the apron across the ring to distract the referee. Spears grabs it and nails Cody in the stomach with it before wrapping it around his throat and choking his former friend out. MJF climbs into the ring to pull the belt away, and Spears releases the hold and takes down Max with a big boot. He picks up Cody and goes to hit him with a death valley driver, but Cody lands on his feet and takes down Spears with a spinebuster. Both men are down and slowly get back up to their feet and start trading chops in the middle of the ring. Cody gets a second wind and starts unloading on Spears. Cody goes to hit him with a Cross Roads and slowly drapes his arm over him for the cover and 1-2- Spears gets his foot on the ropes to break the pinfall. Cody climbs to the top turnbuckle to hit a moonsault on Spears as he gets to his feet but SHAWN SHOVES THE REFEREE INTO THE ROPES TO KNOCK CODY OFF. Cody falls backwards into the ring and Spears hits him with the death valley driver. Blachard pushes a steel chair into the ring with the referee out and Spears goes to hit Cody in the head with it like he did at Fyter Fest. MJF grabs the chair and faces off with Cody against Spears and Blanchard. Cody steps forward and MJF HITS HIM IN THE BACK WITH THE STEEL CHAIR. Cody turns around to face him and MJF breaks the chair over his head. Cody falls to the mat lifelessly and Blanchard wakes up the referee to count the pinfall. 1-2-3! Shawn Spears defeats Cody and the crowd is in shock.
Cody rolls out of the ring and Brandi and Dustin rush out to check on him and MJF joins Blanchard and Spears in celebration in the ring. MJF and Spears flip off Cody as they head to the back. Fans throw trash and a beer hits MJF as they head to the top of the entrance ramp, but it doesn’t matter as they are looking forward to a fruitful friendship as two of the top heels in AEW.
Match 7: The Young Bucks vs The Lucha Bros in a Ladder Match for the AAA Tag Team Championships
In a rematch from Double or Nothing, the Lucha Bros put their AAA tag team championships on the line against the Young Bucks in a ladder match. The two teams square off against each other in the ring and quickly go back and forth exchanging moves and kicks, however, the match quickly spills to the outside of the ring, where they are surrounded by ladders. The Lucha Bros hit a double superkick on Matt Jackson before doing the same to Nick, and picking him up and hitting him WITH A BUCKLE BOMB INTO A LADDER. Nick falls to the ground and the two turn their attention to Matt, however, he has picked up a ladder and rams both Lucha Bros with it, taking them both down. Matt jumps up on the ring apron and hits a moonsault on Pentagon back onto the outside of the ring, before attempting to hit a superkick on Fenix.
Rey catches Matt’s foot and attempts to flip him over, but Jackson lands on his feet and hits Fenix with a superkick on the second attempt. Matt gets up Nick and the two load a ladder into the ring and try to win the match early on. Pentagon and Fenix recover and rush into the ring, pulling both of the bucks off the ladder. They hit both men with hurricaranas sending them into the ropes and hit each man with a stereo 619 before leaping on the ropes and hitting both of them with a frog splash. They throw Nick out of the ring and focus on Matt, with Pentagon lifting him up and hitting him with a package piledriver, setting up Fenix for a 450 Splash off the top ropes. The Lucha Bros set up another ladder and try to retrieve their titles, however, Nick bring in a ladder from outside the ring and pushes the standing ladder down. The Luchas jump off the ladder as it falls and Nick hits Pentagon with the ladder before being hit by a drop kick from Fenix. Rey jumps up on the turnbuckle and hits a moonsault onto Nick, but stands up only to be HIT WITH A SUPERKICK BY MATT JACKSON. Matt helps Nick up to his feet and they set up Fenix for a Meltzer Driver.
Nick goes to jump over the ropes and hit it, but Pentagon grabs him by his feet from outside and pulls him down onto the apron. Fenix gets out of the tombstone position and hits Matt with a standing drop kick. Pentagon sets up a table on the outside of the ring to powerbomb Nick through, but Jackson fights out of move and sets Pentagon head first into the ring post. Nick gets back into the ring, hits Fenix with a drop kick and tries to set a ladder up again to retrieve the titles. Nick and Fenix meet at the top of the ladder and start trading punches. Fenix gets the upper hand and punches Nick off the ladder but Matt grabs Fenix from behind and powerbombs him onto the mat. Matt climbs the ladder himself and goes to retrieve the titles, but PENTAGON GETS BACK INTO THE RING AND TIPS THE LADDER OVER. Matt goes over the ropes and crashes onto the table on the outside of the ring. Pentagon and Fenix add insult to injury by hitting Nick Jackson with a Meltzer Driver, their own finisher, and Pentagon and Fenix set up the ladder one last time and retrieve the title belts. The Lucha Bros defeat the Young Bucks.
Following the match, two men in masks rush out to the ring and attack the Lucha Bros. One of the men hits Fenix with a cutter while the other sets up Pentagon and they double team him to TAKE OUT PENTA WITH A HART ATTACK. The two men take off their masks and reveal themselves as Santana and Ortiz of Proud and Powerful. They turn their attention to the Bucks and hit them each with a powerbomb followed by a frog splash combination. They drape a Puerto Rican Flag over their bodies in the ring and stand tall over the top of the AEW Tag Team Division.
Match 8: Chris Jericho vs “Hangman” Adam Page for the AEW World Championship
In the main event of the evening, Chris Jericho faces off against Adam Page to become the inaugural AEW World Champion. Jericho, the near 30 year veteran of the business, faces off against the up and coming Page, in a great and historic generation versus generation clash. Bret ‘the Hitman’ Hart comes out to ringside to present the AEW Championship to the winner.
The two circle each other in the ring before locking up, and the more seasoned Jericho gets off to an early advantage. Jericho overpowers Hangman, throws him down to the mat and begins taunting him. Page gets angry and goes after Jericho, and clotheslines him to the outside of the ring. Jericho stumbles but gets up to his feet, but PAGE TAKES HIM OUT WITH A MOONSAULT TO THE OUTSIDE. Page stays on offense and throws Jericho into the ringpost, busting him open over his left eye. The doctors run over to check on Jericho, pausing the match and further frustrating Page. Hangman goes over to go after Jericho, BUT HE WAS PUSHES AWAY THE DOCTORS AND HITS PAGE WITH A JUDAS EFFECT OUTSIDE THE RING. Page drops to the ground and Jericho rolls him back into the ring. Chris locks Page in the Walls of Jericho submission and tries to force Page to tap, but Adam crawls to the ropes and gets a break.
Jericho tries to stay on offense and goes to hit Page with a Code Breaker, but Page catches Jericho and lifts him onto his shoulders and SLAMS HIM ONTO THE MAT WITH A POWERBOMB. Page climbs on top of Jericho and keeps punching him in the forehead, trying to bust open his cut even more. The referee pull Page off of him and Hangman goes to the ring apron and sets up Jericho for a Buckshot Lariat. Page nails Jericho with it, but the veteran Jericho rolls out of the ring to avoid being covered. Page follows him out and Jericho elbows him in the gun and grabs Page by the hair, throwing him into the ring post. Jericho walks over to Bret Hart and flips him off before he rolls Hangman back into the ring and hits him with a Judas Effect, despite his impaired vision. He covers him 1-2- Page gets his foot on the ropes to break the cover. Jericho drags Page to the center of the ring and locks him in the Walls of Jericho again. Page tries to crawl for a rope break, but Jericho drags him back to the center. Page contourts his body and twists Jericho around into a pinfall, but Jericho kicks out at 2.
Getting a second wind, Page goes on offense and takes out Jericho with a standing drop kick. Page climbs to the top turnbuckle and hits a moonsault on Jericho, but Chris kicks out of the pinfall at 2. Page decides to pay tribute to Bret Hart and locks Chris in a sharpshooter, but Jericho fights out of it and throws Page over the ropes. Adam lands on the ring apron and sets Jericho up for a Buckshot and nails him with it, and goes for the cover, 1-2- JERICHO KICKS OUT!!!. Page is in disbelief that he still can’t put Jericho away. He attempts one more buckshot, but Jericho dodges this one and locks up Page from behind and tries to hit him with a backslide pin. Page rolls through it, stands up and goes for a lariat but WALKS INTO A JUDAS EFFECT FROM JERICHO. Chris covers Hangman and 1-2-3!!! Chris Jericho defeats Adam Page to become the new AEW World Champion.
The referee Aubrey Edwards holds up Jericho’s arm in victory as Bret Hart climbs into the ring to present him with the title. Jericho rips the belt out of his hands and holds it up over his head as fireworks go off in the background. He slowly walks back up the entrance ramp and turns around to face the crowd and pose with the World Title as All Out comes to a close. AEW now is Jericho.
As the show comes to a close, Jim Ross announces on commentary “Good Night from Chicago. We’ll see you all next time in October on TNT!”

FBE Carnage Night II: Rebooking AEW All Out 2019 - Part 1

One year to the date after the first ever All In, the newly formed AEW holds their 4th overall show and final pay per view before the launch of their weekly television show in October, ALL OUT 2019. Emanating from the Sears Center in Chicago, Illinois, AEW looks to once again put on a show of the year contender, and announce to the world that there is a new player in town, and the pro wrestling revolution has begun.
Build to All Out
At the young company’s first ever show, Double or Nothing in May, Chris Jericho and “Hangman” Adam Page each won matches to earn a shot at being the inaugural AEW World Champion, with their match for the gold set to take place in the Main Event of the show. As a special feature, Bret “the Hitman” Hart will be at ringside to present the championship belt to the winner, just as he did when he presented it to the world at Double or Nothing.
All Out will also play host to two women’s matches to determine the contenders for the inaugural AEW Women’s Championship, with the finals set to take place on the Inaugural episode of Dynamite. On the Buy In, an all Women’s Casino Battle Royale will be held to determine one competitor, and on the main show a 4-Way between Hikaru Shida, Riho, Britt Baker and Bea Priestley will determine the second contender.
Originally, the “best bout machine” Kenny Omega was set to have a grudge match with Jon Moxley, the man who attacked him and Jericho after the main event of Double or Nothing. However, after Moxley had to pull out of the match up due to an elbow injury sustained during the G1 tournament in Japan, Kenny Omega will face off against his replacement, making his AEW debut, “the Bastard” PAC in a singles match.
With the announcement of the AEW Tag Team Tournament, Trent and Chuck Taylor of the Best Friends will take on Evil Uno and Stu Grayson of the Dark Order to determine which team gets a first round bye in the tournament.
Also on the show, after being turned on and attacked by his former best friend, Cody will face off against Shawn Spear in a singles match. The two were once tag team partners and started out their careers together in the late 2000s. However, after taking offense to some things Cody said in an interview after joining AEW, Shawn decided to turn on his friend to prove he was far more than just a “good hand”. Spears will have the legendary Tully Blanchard in his corner for the match, and Cody is only allowed one escort for the match, but who will he bring to even the odds?
We also have a big four way match up set to take place in the “first ever” Cracker Barrel Clash, as Darby Allin, Joey Janela, Jimmy Havoc and Sammy Guevara will face off, with each man hoping to score a big win on the biggest stage of their young careers. In addition to that, the winner of this match will also receive the distinguished honor of facing Cody on the first edition of Dynamite in the inaugural match to kick off the show.
In addition to those, the show is capped off by three stacked tag team matches. On the Buy In, Private Party will face off against Hybrid 2. On the main card, the veteran team of SCU will face off against the younger Jurassic Express, set to be a great battle of youth vs experience, and in a rematch from Double or Nothing, the AAA Tag Team Championships will be on the line in a Ladder Match, as the Young Bucks will once again face off against the Lucha Bros.

ALL OUT 2019: The Buy-In
Match 1
Kicking off the show, we have the Women’s Casino Battle Royale, with the “Clubs” starting off the match, with Nyla Rose, Priscilla Kelly, Leva Bates, Shazza McKenzie and Willow Nightingale all starting the match.
All 5 of them have a stand off before four of the women all give each other a look and rush the much larger Nyla Rose. They all gang up on her and push her back into a corner, kicking Nyla in the gut until ROSE SHOVES ALL OFF THEM BACK. Nyla grabs Leva by the hair and throws her over the ropes, but “the Librarian” Peter Avalon catches her on the outside. Avalon lays out books for Leva to help her walk back to the ring without touching the floor, as Rose clears out the ring. Nyla grabs McKenzie by the hair and throws her over the ropes, and Priscilla Kelly runs up and tries to hit Nyla from behind. She grabs Kelly by the throat and chokeslams her over the ropes before facing off with Willow. Nightingale tackles Nyla against the ropes and gets a few shots in on her, but Nyla grabs her by the legs and throws her over the ropes. Leva and Avalon both get in the ring but Peter tries to help Leva eliminate Nyla, but Rose takes them both down with a double close line and throws both of them out of the ring. Rose has eliminated all 4 other women as the clock counts down.
The Diamonds enter the match next and Awesome Kong leads the women out, flanked by her friend Brandi Rhodes, as well as Penelope Ford, Big Swole and Sadie Gibbs. All five climb into the ring, and Kong and Rose have a stare off in the ring as the crowd goes crazy. They engage in a punching match and the more experienced Kong gets the advantage and pushes Rose up against the ropes. Kong bounces off the ropes and goes to eliminate her with a clothesline, but Nyla HITS A SPEAR ON KONG AND BOTH WOMEN GO DOWN. The other four take advantage and try to fight with themselves, but ultimately, none of them are eliminated as the clock counts down.
The Spades come out third, led by Tenille Dashwood, Ivelisse, Kris Statlander, Allie and a surprise entrant, Aja Kong. The 5 women climb in the ring and start mixing it up with the others, and Aja Kong, Awesome Kong and Nyla Rose all meet in the center and the 3 powerhouses unload on eachother. Kong and Kong work together and eliminate the younger and more spry Nyla, before turning on each other and starting to attack. Brandi tries to aid Awesome Kong, but Aja kicks her in the head and sends Brandi tumbling over the ropes, and Awesome Kong eliminates Aja out of rage. The other women all rush over and work together to eliminate her too, and all 3 powerhouse are out as the clock winds down again.
The “Hearts” are last, with Jazz, ODB, Teal Piper, Nicole Savoy and Christy Jaynes come out as the final entrants before the Joker. The five women rush the ring and go ham trying to eliminate as many women as they can. Gibbs is quickly thrown out by Jazz, and Big Swole is sent over the ropes from a drop kick by Jaynes. Ivelliese and Piper mix it up, and Ivellise eliminates her, but ODB runs up and clotheslines her over the ropes immediately after. Statlander throws ODB over the ropes after that, and as the clock winds down, 5 women remain: Jazz, Statlander, Allie, Ford and Jaynes.
The clock winds down and the Joker is revealed as….. MERCEDES MARTINEZ!!! The veteran wrestler rushes down to the ring and goes right after Jazz, the biggest name in the ring. The two mix it up and Martinez takes her down with a standing drop kick. Jaynes runs up to hit her from behind but she punches Christy in the jaw before throwing her over the ropes. Allie and Ford try to double team her, but Mercedes eliminates both of them, leaving 3 women remaining. Mercedes and Jazz stand off in the middle of the ring and go back and forth trading blows. Jazz gets the upper hand, but Statlander runs up behind her and THROWS JAZZ OVER THE ROPES. We are down to two. Kris grabs Mercedes by the hair and tries to throw her over the ropes, but Martinez fights off Statlander and HEADBUTTS HER IN THE FOREHEAD. Martinez hits her with a lariat before grabbing Kris by the hair and trunks and THROWS HER OVER THE ROPES. Mercedes Martinez wins the Casino Battle Royale and will challenge for the Women’s Championship on the premiere of Dynamite.
Match 2
Following the Battle Royale, we have some tag team action coming up, with the young up and coming team Marq Quinn and Isaiah Cassidy of Private Party facing off against the veteran team of Jack Evans and Angelico of Hybrid 2, with both teams looking to pick up their first wins in AEW.
Angelico faces off against Isaiah Cassidy to start the match and the two lock up to start off the match. Angelico gets the advantage to start the match and uses his superior size to try and ground the high flying Cassidy, however, Isaiah uses his speed to break out of his hold and get the upper hand. Evans tags in and taunts Cassidy, baiting him into charging at him and Jack dodges it and NAILS CASSIDY WITH A KICK TO THE HEAD. Quinn tags himself into the match and he and Evans go back and forth bouncing off the ropes and reversing flips on eachother, until Quinn manages to take down Jack with a crossbody. Marq tags out to Isaiah and the two start double teaming Evans, until Jack manages to get off a double drop kick on both men and work back to his corner.
Angelico tags in and takes down both members of Private Party with a double clothesline. He tosses Quinn out of the ring and goes back to working on Cassidy. He drags Isaiah back to his corner and he and Evans tag in and out of the match to double team Cassidy. They beat down the young upstart wrestler, however, Cassidy manages to fight out of their attacks and NAILS ANGELICO WITH A ROUNDHOUSE KICK TO THE HEAD. Both men slowly crawl to their corners to make a hot tag, and Quinn and Evans rush into the ring. The two lock up in the ring and start trading punches, and Quinn takes down Jack with a standing drop kick. Evans rolls out of the ring to regroup with Angelico and Quinn bounces off the ropes and TAKES BOTH MEN DOWN WITH A DIVE TO THE OUTSIDE. Marq throws Angelico into the crowd and throws Evans back into the ring. He tags out to Cassidy and he takes out Evans with their “Gin and Juice” finisher. Quinn covers Evans and 1-2-3!!! Private Party picks up the win.
Following the match, the two grab a few cans of beer from ringside and hand them out to members of the crowd. The all bust open the beers, toast their first win and make their way into the sold out Sears Center to celebrate their first win in AEW.

Wrestling Analysis: Brandon Cutler

Hello everyone, this is a series I will be doing daily called Wrestling Analysis, where we will analyze every wrestlers background information before AEW, what they have accomplished in their time in AEW, Their positives and Negatives, And what they could be at in the company at their peak. Tag teams will be looked at together (unless some also have success as a singles star.) Anyway this list will go in alphabetical order, yesterday I talked about Billy Gunn's son Austin, and today I will talk about Brandon Cutler.
PRE AEW
• Cutlers would start wrestling in 2005, and would be personally trained by Nick and Matt Jackson who has since formed a deep friendship with each other. He would wrestle for several promotions in the SoCal area, but his biggest appearances would be for Pro Wrestling Guerilla and ROH, however Cutler would go on a long hiatus in 2011. His Hiatus would last for 7 years, but would eventually return in 2018. A year later Cutler would sign with AEW due to his friendship with the Young Bucks.
AEW
• Cutler would make his debut at Double or Nothing as a participant in the first Casino Battle Royale. He would have one elimination, which was Billy Gunn, but would eventually be eliminated by MJF. Cutler would wrestle on the first episode of Dynamite, but lose to MJF. This would start a long loosing streak that still exists today. After loosing some matches in the singles division, Cutler would start looking for a partner in the tag division, but still wouldn't find success. Eventually Cutler would try to form a tag team with Peter Avalon, who also doesn't have a win, to form the tag team known as the initiative. They would have multiple close matches, but still hasn't managed to find a win. Eventually Avalon would attack Cutler, ending the team and starting the rivalry of the losers. They had 2 matches so far with both ending in a double count out and double disqualification respectively. The third and hopefully final match is expected to happen sometime in the near future. Besides wrestling, Cutler is also an executive content producer for AEW, and is the cameraman and a producer for the YouTube show Being The Elite.
POSITIVES
•Pretty decent shape •Great Athleticism • Has proven to have entertaining rivalries (in the case with Peter Avalon)
NEGATIVES
• Isn't the strongest wrestler with only being 170. • Can be too nice. • Sort of a pushover.
OVERALL
• Cutler is a decent athlete and is underrated for his high flying wrestling in my opinion. But the main reason he hasn't won a match yet is because he lacks muscle and will be overpowered by most opponents easily. Also he has shown to be too nice, with him getting mad at Avalon for cheating when he was part of the initiative, and has shown to be pushed around by his friends on BTE. After his rivalry with Avalon it is yet to be seen where his character goes. But no matter if he is a Jobber or a Mid Carder, Avalon will always be a fun wrestler to watch, and will make the other talent around him look good as well.
Anyway what did you think of my analysis? If you have anything else you want to add or any questions, please comment below. Anyway tommorow I will be talking about current FTW and Team Taz member, Brian Cage.

Wrestling Analysis: Brian Cage

Hello everyone, this is a series I will be doing daily called Wrestling Analysis, where we will analyze every wrestlers background information before AEW, what they have accomplished in their time in AEW, Their positives and Negatives, And what they could be at in the company at their peak. Tag teams will be looked at together (unless some also have success as a singles star.) Anyway this list will go in alphabetical order, yesterday I talked about Brandon Cutler, and today I will talk about current FTW Champion and Team Taz member, Brian Cage.
PRE AEW
• Cage would begin his wrestling career in 2005. He would wrestle in several promotions, including: FCW (now NXT), Pro Wrestling Guerilla, Lucha Underground, AAA, and Impact. Cages accomplishs also include: FCW tag team champion with Justin Gabriel, Lucha Libre World Cup, Lucha Underground Gift of the Gods Champion, PWG Tag Team Champion with Michael Elgin, Impact X Division Champion, and Impact World Champion.
AEW
• Cage would leave Impact In January once his contract expired, and would take time away from wrestling to recover from a surgery. Shortly after he left Impact, AEW would contact him and sign him to a contract. Since he was still recovering from surgery it would take months for him to debut, but he made the most of it once he did. At Double or Nothing it was revealed that Cage was the last man in the Casino latter match, Cage would be accompanied by Taz and would destroy everyone in the ring. Eventually everyone decided to attack Cage and bury him under a pile of of Chairs, Table, Barricades, and a Giant Poker Chip, However Cage would finally wake up and win the Latter Match, becoming the New #1 contender for the AEW Championship. Taz would becoming Cages manager, and would award Cage with the FTW Championship. Cage would wrestle Moxley at Fight for the Fallen for the AEW Championship, however John Moxley would put him in a submission where Cage had his surgery, forcing Taz to throw in the towel. Shortly after his loss, Cage and Taz would create an alliance with Ricky Starks after they would attack Darby Allin on Dark, this would be the start of Team Taz, and their Rivalry with Allin. Cage And Starks would have a tornado tag match, Moxley and Allin would eventually win with Allin hitting Starks back by jumping off the top rope with a skateboard covered in thumbtacks. This would only Fuel Team Taz's hatred for Allin. At All Out, Cage would participate in the Casino Battle Royale, Cage would get 3 eliminations, those people would be Billy Gunn, Sonny Kiss, and Finally Darby Allin. While eliminating Allin, Starks and Cage would put him in a bodybag filled with thumbtacks, and Cage would pick up the bag over his head and out of the ring. Despite his performance, Cage would be eliminated by eventually winner, Lance Archer. Recently Cage defended his FTW Championship for the first time on Dynamite against AEW new commer, Will Hobbs. Cage would eventually beat Hobbs in an extremely competitive match. Taz would be impressed by Hobbs performance and would give Hobbs the chance to join Team Taz, but Allin would interrupt, setting up an eventual tag match in the future.
POSITIVES
•Great Shape •Extremely Agile and Athletic for his size •Great heel and in ring performer •Extremley Strong
NEGATIVES
•Not the best talker on the mic
OVERALL
• Cage is a genetic freak with having the rare combination of being Extremely Strong and Extremely athletic as well. Cage doesn't have many weaknesses, but if I had to name one it would be poor mic skills, but that is covered by Taz being his manager. Cage is easily one of the top superstars AEW has, and I can easily see him becoming AEW Champion in the next 5 years.
Anyway what did you think of my analysis, if you have any questions or anything else to add please comment below. Tommorow I will be talk about Dark Order leader and the Exalted One, Brodie Lee.

A-Show Stories! AEW Double or Nothing 2019

Double or Nothing
May 25, 2019
Las Vegas, NV
MGM Grand Garden Arena
In January 2019, All Elite Wrestling was announced as a brand-new alternative wrestling organization, the first with a major money backer in many years. I think one of the commendable things about AEW was the nearly year-long roll out of the promotion. Rather than jumping right in the action with a weekly show, AEW planned a serious of major events over the summer to advertise their product to networks, starting with Double or Nothing, a clear reference to the independent supershow All In.
As many of you are aware, I’m not a fan who was disenfranchised by WWE, but I’m always welcoming of new wrestling promotions. I’m glad they released these events on DVD because I’m a proponent of physical media.
The main event featured a rematch from the 2019 Wrestle Kingdom in Japan, the first rematch between Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega. The winner would face “Hangman” Adam Page, who won the Casino Battle Royal in the preshow, to determine the first AEW World Champion. Jericho had a cool entrance featuring an homage to some of his personas over the years. Omega’s entrance was almost subdued, and I think that word is most appropriate for this match, subdued. This is a good match but it’s missing the energy from earlier in the show, and I think that’s in part because the crowd was a bit burnt out from jumping up and down for the previous hour and a half. Jericho countered the One Winged Angel with a DDT and then hit Omega with the Judas Effect out of nowhere for the win. This was a good match but completely overshadowed by the aftermath, with the former Dean Ambrose, now rechristened Jon Moxley, emerging from the crowd and making his mark by taking down Jericho with the Paradigm Shift, giving the same to the referee and Omega as well.
I think the most anticipated match on this show was the battle of brothers, Cody Rhodes against his elder brother Dustin Rhodes. For a variety of reasons, there was no way this match was going to happen in WWE, at least not in the way that these two wanted. This was their opportunity to demonstrate why they wanted the match so badly. The match turns a corner when Dustin gets busted open after landing head-first on an exposed turnbuckle. Dustin popped a gusher and Cody gets increasingly vicious, targeting shots right to Dustin’s cut, and the fact that it’s Dustin’s brother that is being as remorseless as he is sells it more. It’s the kind of feud that the old school NWA was founded on, personal, bloody issues, and Dustin and Cody demonstrate they learned from their father’s work well. This is also the kind of work that is missing in many matches nowadays, work that is focused less on athleticism and more on story and drama. There are a few big moves in this match, such as a superplex, but you get the impression that both guys are doing moves trying to win the match and achieve superiority in a battle of wills, rather than doing moves to get a star rating. This is a great bloody fight and an excellent tribute to southern wrestling. Cody drops Dustin with the Cross Rhodes to win the match. My one criticism of this match would be Cody’s character work. He came to the ring to the adoration of the crowd and really played up to them. He then spent the match being a complete dick to his brother, busting him open, cheating, deliberately going after Dustin’s cut to make him bleed more. Then, after the match, he has a tearful hug with Dustin. It makes him look duplicitous, but as of yet there has been no payoff to that duplicity.
The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) defended the AAA World Tag Team Championship against The Lucha Brothers, Pentagon Zero and Rey Fenix. The Bucks are excellent at what they do but I can understand why they are polarizing. Their matches go a mile a minute and they can be desensitizing. This is fast with a lot of great spots, almost too many to list because the Bucks just have those kinds of matches. It was mentioned that this was the first match the Bucks had participated in in almost two months, so the fact that they work so fluidly with the Lucha Bros says something. The Bucks won a great match with the Meltzer Driver.
This was an excellent show and an obvious watershed moment in wrestling history. All three main events delivered in a big way and the undercard was solid.

My Predictions (and Fantasy Booking) For Full Gear and Beyond

I should mention up front that this is by no means the card that I predict with accuracy nor is this what I believe AEW should do in the short and long term. All this is is a fantasy booking card that I would like to see based on the small build thus far and how I would go about booking this show if it were left up to me. Mostly, I just tend to get extremely excited about future events and enjoy fantasy booking in general, though this will be the first time I have ever published something like this on a public forum. Obviously Khan and the talent have a much clearer vision than I do, and no matter what they decide to do here, it will almost certainly be better than mine. I’m probably wrong here, but at least I had a lot of fun doing it.
Having said that, here’s my card in reverse order:
1) MJF def. Jon Moxley (c) to win the AEW World Championship
This feels like exactly the right time and the right person to take the title from Moxley. MJF has been positioning himself as a star of the company, would make a good face for the company, has almost perfect abilities with the mic, and can actually wrestle while putting on a good show. Not to mention the fact that he has a perfect reason for a rematch: Jon Moxley cheated by using the Paradigm Shift at All Out. MJF has no shortage of future contenders (as I’ll get to later) and can be a high end attraction for AEW’s future events.
MJF could win this match cleanly if he could (he can almost certainly out-wrestle Moxley), but if they’re worried about hurting Moxley by losing, MJF could win with a little help from his future friends from the Inner Circle.
2) Thunder Rosa def. Hikaru Shida (c) and Dr. Britt Baker to win the AEW Women’s World Championship
This was a weird one to come up with mainly because of the lack of exposure the Women’s division is receiving as well as the lack of talent depth. In recent weeks they have been pushing Britt Baker despite losing to Big Swole (who has been absent), so this match and result is what makes the most sense to me. I understand that Thunder Rosa is contracted with NWA and the company may be hesitant to put the title on her, but hear me out:
Thunder Rosa gets over huge and out of every woman on the roster, seems to be most poised to take the title. If for whatever reason (travel, contractual obligations, etc…) she cannot defend the title at Revolution 2021, she would be forced to relinquish the title, setting up a match for the vacant title come next show.
So my plan would be to have Thunder Rosa pin Britt Baker to win the championship, thus protecting Hikaru Shida in case the title needs to be vacated. After Thunder Rosa wins the title, Big Swole comes out and lays waste to the three already exhausted women, cutting a promo on how she beat Britt Baker and should have been the only contender for this title.
This would set up a program between Thunder Rosa vs Big Swole in 2021 or Hikaru Shida vs Big Swole if the title needs to be vacated.
It would behoove AEW to invest further into a deeper Women’s roster and give these women more time to shine on a weekly basis.
3) FTR (c) def. Best Friends to retain the AEW World Tag Team Championship
These two teams just had one of the most brilliant street fights on Dynamite a few weeks ago and this feud does not seem to be over. These two teams are destined to have a great tag team match on PPV and this is the time to do it.
The Young Bucks seem to be positioning for the titles, but right now doesn’t seem to be the time to do it. FTR are new champions and they have really good chemistry and really good athletic abilities capable of turning in a showstopper of a match. FTR need to retain their titles here and the Best Friends are the team to defend against.
I’m going with non-stipulation here because I think these four men can put on a great show without a gimmick.
4) Cody def. Mr. Brodie Lee in a Non-Title Deathmatch
I know these two have a Dog Collar Match coming up next week on Dynamite, but this has been a feud going on for some time and it has reached a boiling point. Much like the Tag Title defense, it would feel like robbery ending such a well put together feud on television. I also realize that “deathmatch” is an extreme word in wrestling circles, but that’s what this feels like. Street Fight, Hardcore Match, No DQ, whatever you want to call it.
Recently in an interview, Cody mentioned that he was planning on talking to Tony Khan about having these types of matches on the program, and depending on how that conversation went, this seems like a great place to start that.
Also, I’m listing this as a non-title match because it would keep the title on Brody for the time being and also because I believe the TV title should be defended exclusively on Dynamite. As a side note, it feels weird with Cody not being able to challenge for the World Championship any time in the future, which is why I think they need to implement an Intercontinental Championship with the same level of prestige that New Japan has that Cody could chase.
5) Kenny Omega def. Lance Archer in the #1 Contender’s Match for the AEW World Championship
It is WAY too soon to pull the trigger on an Omega championship reign, I realize this, but his track record in single’s competitions is so poor that this is the only outcome here that would give him the push Omega needs to eventually become Champion. It’s also not necessarily his fault, either. In a lot of those matches he took the loss to get over Jericho, Pac, and Moxley. It was the right thing to do at the time and led to an incredible tag team run, but now is the time to focus on single’s competitions, and winning this tournament seems to be a good fast track to do it.
I booked his opponent as Lance Archer, mainly because I do not believe he has a chance to beat Moxley at the anniversary show but still feel like he deserves a shot at a big match on PPV, and in my mind, there is no bigger match than facing Kenny Omega in single’s competition as Omega has the innate ability to get his opponent over with the crowd in a loss.
6) Chris Jericho and Jake Hager def. The Young Bucks, SCU, and Private Party in a Four Team Elimination Match to Determine the #1 Contenders for the AEW World Tag Team Championship
Probably not going to happen by any stretch of the imagination, but this does a few things: It sets up a Tag Team Championship match for Revolution, it gets The Young Bucks in the show (always a big draw), it gets exposure to SCU and Private Party, and it also cements Jericho/Hager as an official team in the Tag Team Division.
SCU and Private Party would be eliminated first, leaving The Young Bucks and Jericho Hager as the final two teams. There are a number of ways The Young Bucks could take the loss without hurting their rankings for a future title shot. They could get themselves disqualified by the antics they have been displaying on Dynamite or there could be interference from the Inner Circle and/or MJF/Wardlow.
7) Orange Cassidy wins the Casino Battle Royale
I could have gone a number of ways here, but Orange Cassidy was my decision because he is OVER AS HELL with the crowd as a babyface, not to mention the fact that Orange Cassidy and MJF would be a huge television draw for a title match on Dynamite. Cassidy hasn’t been positioned to be a main eventer (yet), and MJF could certainly out-wrestle him, but this would make for a highly entertaining Dynamite main event between Full Gear and Revolution.
8) Lucha Bros and Eddie Kingston def. Jurassic Express and Adam Page
The reason I booked this match here was for two reasons: 1) I think it would be highly entertaining and would get all this talent on the show and 2) It would tell a perfect story of Adam Page being unwilling to accept his destiny as a single’s competitor. In my perfect vision, Page would be severely intoxicated during the match, making mistakes, and ultimately costing his team the win. As Jungle Boy attempts to talk some sense into him, Adam Page stumbles off the set and Kingston rolls him up for the pin.
9) Darby Allin and Will Hobbs def. Ricky Starks and Brian Cage
You guessed it, another well set up feud that does not deserve to end on television. I do not have any particular notes or ideas of how this should go though it does seem destined to have some sort of stipulation attached to it. I am not entirely sure if AEW would pull the trigger on this one, but some sort of variation of this match seems destined to me.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Future Main Events:
Revolution 2021: MJF def. Kenny Omega
Still too soon to pull the trigger
Double or Nothing 2021: MJF def. Adam Page
This sets up Page as a contender, but still too soon
All Out 2021: MJF def. Chris Jericho
In my fantasy booking, Jericho and MJF allied themselves during Full Gear (2020), but the way the story is progressing, it seems to be building towards this match.
Full Gear 2021: Kenny Omega def. MJF
A full year, Full Gear to Full Gear. This would seem to be a good point to have Kenny Omega finally crowned as champion.
Revolution 2022: Kenny Omega def. Adam Page
This would be the first match of an ideal trilogy to rival Flair vs Steamboat, Gargano vs Cole, and Omega vs Okada. Maybe it’s too soon here but right now, it feels right. Something would have to happen in this match to set up a rematch for...
Double or Nothing 2022: Kenny Omega def. Adam Page
Match #2 of the trilogy, this time Page gets defeated cleanly and no rematch seems to be on the horizon.
All Out 2022: Kenny Omega def. Kazuchika Okada
I’m just joking here. I’m leaving this blank because it feels like a variable. If Adam Page is going to beat Omega for the title then Omega needs to appear extremely strong, so this title match will be kept open for now depending on new arrivals or who gets pushed.
Full Gear 2022: Kenny Omega def. AJ Styles
Again, just a joke. Same as above, this is kept open for whoever appears to be the strongest contender based on what happens and who gets over in the next year or so.
Revolution 2023: Kenny Omega def. ______________
Same as the last two main events.
Double of Nothing 2023: Adam Page def. Kenny Omega
This is it, the final match of the trilogy where Adam Page is finally crowned as the guy of the company. The story would go something like this: After losing the hypothetical Intercontinental Championship, Adam Page goes on a huge downward spiral and “leaves” the company for a few months only to return at Revolution completely sober and changed where he wins the rights to challenge Kenny Omega one last time and were he to lose this match, he would never challenge for the title again.
Naturally, even when fantasy booking, we can never guarantee match quality, but assuming there are no unfortunate injuries and both talents are in prime shape, this would be the closest to that seven star Omega/Okada match from 2018.
Adam Page wins a nearly one hour contest.
Other Notes
I realize that I may be horribly wrong in every single one of these predictions, but I thought it was fun nonetheless and wanted to share them. If anyone thinks this will plan out differently for whatever reason, feel free to message me at any time and we can talk about bookings, AEW, NJPW, or whatever (I'm a fairly amusing guy all things considered). For the time being, I'm going to plug these matches into Fire Pro Wrestling World and watch them all plan out.
Cheers!

Book Rey Mysterio If He Never Joined WWE in 2018 - Part 2: Booyaka

Part 1 here
In this part, we saw Rey Mysterio jump onto the scene of NJPW. He started off hot, taking on his two amigos in Jushin Thunder Liger and Hiroshi Tanahashi respectively. At King of Pro-Wrestling, he defeated Liger - but fell to The Ace in a match for his G1 Climax briefcase. He then won the IWGP United States Championship off of Cody to end his offspring of Bullet Club, and would embark on a title reign. He successfully defended against Bandido last time we saw him, and now he moves onto his next challenger.
Book Rey Mysterio If He Never Joined WWE in 2018 - Part 2: Booyaka
G1 Supercard:
Rey Mysterio (c) vs. Tomohiro Ishii - IWGP United States Championship
Rey Mysterio skips out on the New Japan Cup, and instead prepares for the G1 Supercard. It will be the biggest show NJPW have held in America, and since he’s the United States Champion he will be defending. Rey ventures off to GCW for Joey Janela’s Spring Break, taking part in the Clusterfuck as a surprise entrant. On Night Two, after Janela faces off with Jungle Boy - he calls out Rey to a match for a later date. Mysterio doesn’t respond, instead he’s in Madison Square Garden to face off against a New Japan semi-finalist, Tomohiro Ishii. He lost to Okada in the semis, and is angry. He wants to take his anger out on someone, and the IWGP United States Champion is his next victim.
He fought in the inaugural title match but came up short to Kenny Omega, but now he has his chance to become the first Japanese man to hold it. After seeing Mayu Iwatani retain the Women of Honor Championship, we move to our next match - as Tomohiro Ishii walks out to a loud MSG pop. In the front row are Mysterio’s daughter, Aalyah and his wife. Then we see his son, Dominick, as a young lion at ringside. He got kicked in the head by Minoru Suzuki earlier so he’s just having a great time. PROGRESS Chapter 88: Super Strong Style 16:
Marty Scurll vs. Rey Mysterio
With his United States Championship lost, ending his 92 day reign, Mysterio heads away from Japan for a while to regain himself. He’s confirmed to show up at PROGRESS‘ Super Strong Style, but later revealed that he won’t actually participate - instead wrestle on the last night in a standard singles match with no prizes but merit. Meanwhile, his opponent is scheduled to be...Marty Scurll. A man who hasn’t appeared in PROGRESS in a long while, mainly because he’s in the middle of a ROH World Championship reign. Having begun his reign in June of 2018, Marty still holds it. He’ll return to PROGRESS for this night however, as he wants to face Rey…badly. After Dominion last year when Rey lost to Marty, he’s wanted to defeated him one on one. A year of wait, and he finally gets his chance. The ultimate hero vs. The ultimate villain, it’s like a comic book finale.
In the lead up, Marty cuts a promo on Mysterio. In it he is as snivelling as ever, offering his wife Angie a night with him and calling Dominick “a giant lummocks“. Then when the third night of the Super Strong Style 16 arrives, we hear Rey Mysterio’s entrance music for the first time in PROGRESS history, as he enters to a raucous pop from the Alexandra Palace. Alexandra Park in London lose their minds for the Lucha Libre legend, who comes out in Black Knight attire (a Marvel superhero from Britain). The fans love him and he shakes hand with Jim Smallman as he enters. Marty Scurll’s reception is mixed, but he certainly wants it to be vocally harsh. He takes beer out of fans hands and spits it at them, which certainly turns their reactions around.
The two men stare down after the bell is rung, a seismic stare. Rey puts his hand up with two fingers, but so does Scurll. They then both do the “2-0-5” taunt in sync. The crowd laugh, which Marty doesn’t like. He taunts on the second turnbuckle to earn their ire. Rey does the same and receives a good response. Scurll then jumps off and walks over to Rey - WHO DIVES AT HIM WITH A HURRICANERANA! They then run the ropes, AND MARTY CATCHES HIM WITH AN ARM DRAG HANDSPRING! MYSTERIO HITS HIS OWN ARM DRAG! Marty runs the ropes but Rey goes for a FRONT DROPKICK - but Marty halts so Rey misses the boat. SCURLL THEN DOUBLE FOOT STOMPS ON THE LUCHADORS FEET!! He lifts him up and starts to chop his chest.
Marty finishes the chops, AND THEN HITS A ROPE-ASSISTED ENZIGURI!! He stomps on Rey while he shouts at fans who boo him, telling them to be louder. He smashes his knee into a kneeling Rey, and then lifts him into a Gory Special!! REY ESCAPES WITH A SUNSET FLIP!! HE RUNS THE ROPES AND GOES FOR A SPRINGBOARD CROSSBODY, BUT SCURLL CATCHES WITH A SITOUT SUPLEX SLAM!! HE RUNS THE ROPES AND HITS A PENALTY KICK!! HE LOCKS IN AN OCTOPUS HOLD!! He wrenches on it, but Rey shuffles to the ropes. Scurll then slides outside to shout at a fan who insulted him. SCURLL IS THEN HIT BY A SUICIDE DIVE INTO A HEADSCISSORS BY MYSTERIO!! REY THROWS HIM INSIDE AND HITS A FROGSPLASH!!! 1................2............KICK OUT!!! MARTY DOESN’T DIE AFTER THE SURPRISE ATTACK!!
Rey is now out of his trance of being beaten down and is back in the fight. Scurll goes for a Wheelbarrow Bodyscissors but Rey counters with an Arm Drag! HE GOES FOR A SUNSET FLIP PIN BUT SCURLL BREAKS OUT WITH A LANZA!! SCURLL THEN LIFTS REY UP FOR A GERMAN SUPLEX!! HE CONNECTS, AND GOES FOR ANOTHER! BUT MYSTERIO FLIPS OUT AND HITS A HEADSCISSORS!! HE THEN CONNECTS A BASEBALL SLIDEFOLLOWED BY HEADSCISSORS!! Rey is on a roll as he dances like Eddie outside. Scurll goes to push him into a fans seat, but Mysterio ducks and PUSHES HIM INTO THE APRON!! They then fight there. Scurll knocks Rey off and CONNECTS A SUPERKICK FROM THE APRON!! HE THEN DIVES OUT WITH A MOONSAULT TO THE FLOOR!!
Now they’re both on the ground. Scurll is dead and so is Rey. They crawl up by the fans laps. Scurll asks a fan to hold Rey in place as he lines up a Penalty Kick. MYSTERIO EVADES BEFORE THE KICK CONNECTS AND PUSHES HIM ONTO A GROUP OF FANS SEATS!! HE THEN DIVES OFF THE SECOND ROPE WITH A CROSSBODY - OVER THE FANS HEADS TO SCURLL!! They’re both even more dead than before and spend time climbing out of the wreckage, through fans and bent and fallen chairs. Rey navigates his way back while Marty writhes in the agony. Once back in the ring Mysterio dives for a Seated Senton - BUT IS HIT BY A SUPERKICK!! SCURLL HITS THE BLACK PLAGUE AND ROLLS INTO THE CROSSFACED CHICKENWING!! REY GETS HIS FOOT ON THE ROPES!! Scurll angrily lets go, throwing the luchador to the mat.
They’re back up and the contest is still on. Rey knocks Scurll down with a SUNSET FLIP INTO A ROUNDHOUSE KICK, AND THEN HITS THE DROPPIN DA DIME!!! 1.............2...........KICK OUT!!! MYSTERIO LIFTS SCURLL UP AND GOES FOR A BULLDOG, BUT MARTY HITS A BACKBREAKER RACK DROPPED INTO A FACEBUSTER!! SCURLL JUMPS FOR A TORNADO DDT - BUT MYSTERIO CATCHES WTH A DROPKICK!! HE THEN FLIES WITH HIS OWN TORNADO DDT!! 1...........2.........SCURLL ROLLS OUT AND GOES FOR THE TORNADO DDT, BUT MYSTERIO CATCHES HIM WITH A SUPER HURRICANERANA!! MARTY LANDS ON HIS FEET AND HITS THE PARTY’S OVER!! HIS OLD FINISHER BUSTED OUT ON THIS OCCASION!!! HE COVERS, 1...............2...............MYSTERIO KICKS OUT JUST IN THE NICK OF TIME!!!
They roll outside to recover after the big rush of counters. Scurll is first up and walks over to Rey’s daughter and wife. He tries to chat them up, BUT REY TURNS HIM AROUND INTO A THROW INTO THE RING POST!! HE HITS A BIG BOOT INTO THE STEEL!! Rey then sets up a wooden table, and brings Scurll up to the apron. They both trade forearms there. Marty jumps to the second rope, possibly looking for a TORNADO DDT!! REY BRINGS HIM DOWN AND HITSMA HURRICANERANA OFF THE APRON!! SCURLL CRASHES DOWN THROUGH THE WOODEN TABLE ONTO THE WOODEN FLOOR!! Scurll grabs his back in utter agony, his spine crushed by the wooden table and floor. Rey then picks him off the mat and rolls him inside.
Rey is looking to end it now, as he climbs up for a SPRINGBOARD SPLASH!! HE THEN LOOKS FOR A 619, BUT SCURLL HITS A EUROPEAN UPPERCUT!! SCURLL THEN GOES FOR A KNEELING REVERSE PILEDRIVER!! MYSTERIO COUNTERS WITH A ROLL UP FOLLOWED BY A FRONT DROPKICK AFTER THE KICK OUT! REY THEN CLIMBS UP FOR A DIVING WEST COAST POP!! 1............2.........KICK OUT!! REY GOES FOR ANOTHER - BUT ITS CAUGHT!! MARTY CATCHES HIM INTO A BIRD OF PREY!! HE HITS A TORNADO DDT!! HE FINALLY LOCKS IN THE CROSSFACED CHICKENWING!! REY ESCAPES AND SWINGS AROUND THE ROPES IN A 619 BUT IS HIT BY A SUPERKICK!! SCURLL THEN LOCKS IN THE CROSSFACED CHICKENWING WITH A BODYSCISSORS!! REY TAPS OUT!!!
Marty Scurll defeats Rey Mysterio (19:58)
Dominion 2019:
Kazuchika Okada (c) vs. Rey Mysterio - IWGP Heavyweight Championship
At Wrestling Dontaku, we see Kazuchika Okada and SANADA face off for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship in Night Two’s main event on May 4th. Afterwards, Rey Mysterio appears on video where he says he will return to New Japan at Dominion to take on Okada for his IWGP Heavyweight Championship. The Rainmaker then states that in his post-match press conference, that he’s always wanted to face Rey Mysterio and that he’ll be happy to do it. Rey is a good and honourable man who deserves this title match after 25 years of wrestling. Okada is happy to give him the opportunity but makes sure Mysterio knows, he won’t win.
Later in the month is AEW’s Double or Nothing. The highly anticipated show features a plethora of talent and star studded match ups, after the Jacksonville and Las Vegas rallies individually. Rey Mysterio appears at neither however despite heavy rumour and speculation. However, to open the show we see the Casino Battle Royale. In this we get a bomb dropped on us - the debut of Mysterio in AEW. Entering as the Joker, he comes and cleans house. It comes down to him and Adam Page, who face off in a 5-minute long battle. The winner will face either Kenny Omega or Chris Jericho at All Out for the AEW World Championship so the stakes are high. In the end, Hangman eliminates Rey after a Buckshot and Superkick combo.
Then two weeks later is Dominion. For the first time ever, Rey Mysterio will challenge for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. After a hell of the show we reach the main event. We’ve seen Dragon Lee vs. Will Ospreay, and Kota Ibushi vs. Tetsuya Naito, and now we’re here. Rey Mysterio cuts a promo earlier in the show about how this means the world to him, this opportunity, and that he needs to win. He will never get a chance like this again, and can’t waste it. Mysterio represents is no-nonsense ordeal, as he comes out dressed as The Punisher. He’s got the navy singlet, with a skull across it. His mask then has the skull as well on it. Mysterio taunts on the second rope, but then Okada comes out. It’s the same thing he felt against Tanahashi and Liger, just being in the presence of someone on another world.
When the bell rings, they don’t lock up straight away. They take in the magnitude of the stage and suck it all in. About a minute passes of this, before they lock up. They get into a collar and elbow, and Rey spins into a waist lock. Okada arm drags him off and cinches in a chinlock. Rey tries to flip out but Okada simply lowers down with him. HE THEN HITS A BELLY TO BACK SUPLEX!! Okada cinches in another chinlock. Rey gets up and Irish whips Okada to the ropes. The Rainmaker rebounds and connects a Shoulder Block to take Mysterio down. Rey gets up while Okada runs the ropes, and hits a HEADSCISSORS! Mysterio ducks under a clothesline and cinches the waistlock. He takes Okada down and applies a nerve hold, then hits a Spinal Tap!
Okada lifts himself up and runs the ropes for a Short-arm Lariat! Rey stumbles back and rolls into a VICTORY ROLL!! 1........2.....KICK OUT!! HE HITS A TILT-A-WHIRL TORNADO DDT!! 1..........2........KICK OUT!!!
Rey pulls himself up by the ropes, hoping the comeback got him. He punches the air, but lifts The Rainmaker up. He heads to the apron and awaits Okada - BUT SUNSET FLIPS OVER! REY ROLLS HIM AND HITS A ROUNDHOUSE KICK!!! Mysterio then runs the ropes but OKADA WITH A BIG BOOT!! HE HITS THE HEAVY RAIN!! 1........2.........KICK OUT!!! REY PULLS HIMSELF UP AND HITS A LOU THESZ PRESS!! HE GOES FOR A SHIRANUI - BUT OKADA DUMPS HIM ONTO THE MAT!! Rey doesn’t get up from that one, feeling the pain.
